I ordered these SeSe Code women’s wide leg pants in the xl. I am 5’3” and have about a 36” waist. I find that these pants fit me quite well in the waist and hips. Surprisingly, the length is not as bad as I was expecting. Pants usually drag on the floor for me but these do not. They are just a touch longer than I would like but they are currently wearable with flats. The material is soft and is definitely a waffle knit. My only complaint to this material is that when I was trying them on one of my fingernails must have been a bit rough and snagged the fabric. I like the elastic waistband and the belt loops should I want to use a belt. Overall, a nice pair of work pants or casual slacks, as stated in the description’s title. My Amazon rating system- Five stars-Great item. May have a minor flaw that does not detract from appearance or function. Four stars-Great item. Flaw or problem more noticeable. Because these wide-leg pants are made from a thin, stretchy knit, the pleats don't fall well. Pleats really need a crisper fabric. If my hips were closer in size to my waist -- that is, if I were narrow-hipped -- then maybe they wouldn't look so bad. The elastic waistband in the back puckers the fabric in the back. Again, someone without much of a bottom might look good in it. If I hold up the pants without stretching the waistband, I can see that they are styled more straight up-and-down, rather than curved. If your waist measurement is close to your hip size, then these should fall well. I'm 5' 4", and the pants are of the right length. They are wide cut and flowing, but not so much so that I might trip on the legs while going up stairs. The side pockets are big enough to hold a phone. Because the fabric is thin (not see-through) and because they are so much room through the legs, they work well even in summer heat. I always like to have a couple of dressier pants to wear in case I have to go to an in-person meeting or feel like jeans are too casual for certain events. These will work great for that—they fit TTS, and while they're not as wide-legged as my other Palazzo pants, they will work in a pinch. I appreciate that they have belt loops, so I can wear a belt to camouflage the elastic waist if I'm tucking a shirt in. They are much thinner than anticipated, though, hence the docking of one star. But at least they're not see-through, so you don't have to worry about that. The washing instructions warn against dry cleaning and 'no tumble dry' but recommend hand-washing. I've had no issue using my delicate cycle for hand-washables, and use the 'no heat' setting on my dryer to ensure they don't turn out stiff but are wrinkle-free. Their claim of 'buttery soft' is absolutely true - and they are flattering, so I definitely recommend these. Read more

These pants are ok, but I wouldn't classify them as business slacks at all. They are that stretchy kind of waffle knit that lacks structure, making them look quite casual. They should also be classified as cropped, I'm 5'6" and they're even shorter on me than in the model pictured. They fit well and are true to size everywhere else, though. Overall, an affordable pair of comfortable pants that could be dressed up, but I'd go with a color other than black and wear them with more casual looks. Read more
