Excellent skate simulator!
This is truly a game designed by skaters for skaters. The controls may seem clunky and counterintuitive at first, but they make sense when compared to the mechanics of skateboarding in real life. Session is a tough game that will occasionally frustrate new players like me, but it's also a very relaxing experience to tide one over while we wait for skate. to come out. The only takeaway from this game is the transition skating, which I know crea-ture is working on and patching in pumping mechanics later. My gripe with that missing component is that pumping is something a lot of us in the skate community learned before anything else, so it does feel funny to play a game that has me trying and failing several times to get to the top of a quarter pipe that would be extremely easy to skate in real life. Still, the sfx when you finally lock in to a grind after numerous ragdoll slams is so satisfying! Read more

L+R triggers are for Turning
I love skateboarding and have played a variety of skate games including every Tony Hawk game, skate 1-3, and other lesser known ones but this one i tried and tried but didn’t even make it through tutorial. The joysticks are your left and right foot respectively, and actual turning is L2 and R2! It’s near impossible for me to get it in my brain that the left joystick is not for turning. Maybe it’s just me, good luck. Read more
