Realistic and a fun challenge
I haven’t skated in over 7 years. I miss skateboarding but after my knee and ankle injuries my body couldn’t handle it anymore. So I got into Fingerboarding and played EA Skate whenever I had to itch. This game feels like Skateboarding and Fingerboarding. The level of frustration and adrenaline kicks in when you want to land a certain trick in a certain way. So you go back over and over until you land it. This game truly is amazing! Far superior than EA Skate and especially Skater XL. I think the graphics can be improved with more skaterboarders supporting this game. When you take your settings to manual catch when you do flip tricks and change the aspects to feel real. Trust me it’s an amazing feeling. It’s a game, but it certainly is a game that will challenge you as Skateboarding does. No matter how many years you’ve done it, Skateboarding is a tough sport. This video game is a game that will not be easy. Even when you land a trick perfect, next attempts are never the same. One aspect I hope they add in an update someday is POV camera angle! I think POV really needs to be used in Skateboarding games. In real life we are in first person POV, so when we jump on a board we aren’t in 3rd person. So I think this game can hit an entire new level with a 1st person perspective camera angle. That way even people who have never skated before can truly appreciate the challenge the sport truly is from the eyes of a skateboarder. I love the different filters you can use and the Sony camera angle aspect to give it that filmmaker look.
