These Gyrut highball glasses are made from a really heavy glass. The base is substantial which should avoid tipping and spills, and the glass is very clear. I was disappointed, though, that for what is marketed as a luxury highball glass set, there is a noticeable seam on all of the glasses. These also don't seem to be cut glass. Because of the seam, I am assuming they are molded and the decorative part is a result of that process and not actual cutting. I also think these are a little expensive for an ok set of glasses. My new favorite drinking glasses. These glasses have a very nice feel to them and seem very durable (ie, they are fairly thick glass, but not too thick). The decorative pattern makes for a good grip as well if your hands are slippery. They don't seem to be especially elegant, but for everyday use they are great. Read more
