Wow, after reading so many reviews, I wanted to give it a try. It blew my mind- never has a pillow been so firm with just the right amount of softness. I used to jam pillows up to get it firm but then my ear would ache. My cheekbone sinks just enough that my ear is never subjected to being too firm and no longer do I experience ear aches. At first I thought it was too firm. However as the nights fell. I got more and used to it and I actually feel that the manufacturer finally got it right and that the reviews to extra firm are not exaggerated. I actually cannot wait to go to sleep and find that sleep comes rapidly. I suffered from insomnia- medium- however it’s no longer the case. Being a side sleeper I can even sleep on the outer edge ( not the middle) and it does not collapse. I have never found any pillow that allows that kind of support. At first I thought it might be too firm but by the fifth night I wouldn’t dare to take any stuffing out. I have 4 crushed discs and artificial hips on both sides. I only say this because from an orthopedic point of view- it has eliminated the pain whereby I can get a full nights sleep without waking up several times a night having to adjust for the pain and aches that type of surgery inevitably produces especially with a pillow that lacks the combination of being extra firm without feeling like a rock. A true extra firm yet still softI am truly incredibly grateful to finally find a pillow that is almost magical. That’s how good it really is. Retains its shape One last note. When left alone the shape - no bumps or high and low spots. No shifting- it retains its shape. It’s been several months and I found within the first 2 weeks that the pillow was too high. I wasn’t sure about removing material to acquire a more comfortable level. I thought the properties might change. I took across the top surface a level handful ( not from the end- just evenly from the top) a grocery bag size of material. This lowered the pillow. It was to my relief the exact same firmness before removing any material. Nothing was lost. It didn’t become lumpy, or softer. Also the firmness hasn’t sunk and unlike most pillows that eventually with time- go flat and saggy. I know that years from now it will retain its shape. This pillow is very firm directly from the box. It does not lose its shape at all with use. As a side sleeper with shoulder pain, this helps me hold my weight off that shoulder . I also use another pillow below my shoulder to support my upper body weight also. Read more

I left mine behind on vacation and immediately bought a new one. No question about searching for any other option. So you know it's good! This pillow is very lofty and firm. I use it between or under my knees for side and back sleeping, respectively. I tried those pillows shaped like )( but they're too thin! This one fits the bill and keeps my legs aligned with my body. I never want to sleep without it. Someone commented that it's too heavy for someone who changes position in the night. I disagree; yes, it's heavy, but only an appropriate amount for how firm and lofty it is. And I can reposition it without issue. Bonus: I didn't buy it for this, but it makes a great backrest pillow for sitting up against my bed's headboard. Read more

Yeah, it's a brick alright. Like others have said, it's not easy to stuff this pillow into a pillow case, and that's after removing some of the materials from the inside. Also, it's very lumpy, and you'll feel those lumps when you rest your head on the pillow. I couldn't fall asleep with this pillow, so I went back to my old pillow. Another $50 down the drain for me. Purchased in May 2024 and it has been the best pillow. I did need to remove a bit of stuffing but it was still a brick which I needed. Yes, its difficult to get into pillowcases. It's now December 2025 and its no longer perfect. Does not support like it did and I wake with sore head and neck. I wake up often needing to turn the pillow as it doesn't maintain support and flattens. This started happening several months ago progressively getting worse.
