Ah, the ritual of shaving. What else defines that it means to be a man. Treat yourself to luxury every day. Use this shaving bowl to whip up a thick lather. Yes, a plastic bowl will work just as well, but there is something so luxurious about real marble. Just please do not drop this on your toes! It is a heavy item. I am growing a beard these days. But I still shave the neck and Adam's apple areas four times per week. I use a manual razor because it is such a small area to shave. I ordered a Panasonic LV-93K, complete with the automatic cleaning stand, from Amazon. I have not tested the unit yet. Probably when I get tired of the beard. Anyway, I enjoy the ritual of working up a lather and using a manual razor for now. This luxurious bowl makes the ritual a lot more enjoyable. And this bowl just looks sexy on your bathroom counter. Remember my warning. Be careful with the bowl. Do not drop it. It will break because it's marble. Your heart will break too. What you drop it on will also break because the bowl is heavy. Just leave on the counter while you work the brush around. I do not recommend that you hold this while working the brush around. It's too much risk of dropping this lovely bowl. Highly recommended. This was a very nice upgrade for my last bowl that was ceramic and smashed on the floor. I like the heft of it, and how it holds the heat in better than ceramic (the last bowl was like a fancy coffee cup, I'm not gonna knock this one off the counter by accident by bumping it). I did notice that the marble discolors easily, but if that happens don't use harsh chemicals, it's easy to mess up marble, just use a product with a small amount of peroxide. whitening mouthwash took the stains out for me after 2-3 days of putting it in at night and dumping it out in the morning.
