This umbrella is sturdy and made of a thick material. I had bought this for my daughter for her prom but she didn't need to use it. I had the opportunity to use it on a rainy day and was very pleased with it. I found it very helpful being able to see my surroundings through the umbrella. Because it is clear, I was able to hold the umbrella lower which provided better rain protection and didn't compromise my ability to see. This would be great for watching outdoor sporting events or other activities in the rain. The black trim is a nice detail and the price is fair for the product.
