Stitching is good. Nice fabric, reminds me of lightweight flannel shirt material. Pockets are not super generous, but they don't feel like an afterthought either. Hands yes, smartphone maybe not. I usually wear an XL but I got the 2XL hoping for some additional length and deeper folds from extra material. The elastic waist is good and handles this kind of upsize buying. I'm 6' tall. The length is a little shorter than I'd like, but not a problem. Worn high-waisted it hits me about mid-shin. Worn low it's at the ankles.
