This sponge holder exceeded my expectations. It keeps my sponges lifted out of the water so they dry faster and don’t develop bad odors. The suction cup is really strong, I haven’t had it fall or slip once since I installed it. My 3 criteria for a sponge holder (based off the sponges I use- Dobie AP pads, 4.3 in long) are: 1) 5-6 inches long, with suction cups (no drilling) 2) Gold color 3) Enclosed cage (I need my sponge to fit securely inside while also allowing water to pass through) So that's how I ended up here! Thoughts: 1) Length/suction: This sponge holder is true to the measurements listed which works perfect for me. I love that it's lower profile/slim as some sponge holders get very wide and bulky. The suction works great, but the holder itself ends up leaning inwards towards the sink and does not remain level. It doesn't affect the function and it's not horrible looking, but the perfectionist in me sees it every time. 2) Color: I'm disappointed in the gold color. It's very bronze/orange in person (almost dark looking) and not yellow/brighter gold as shown in the product photos. Sad. 3) Function: The cage is perfect! It's easy to access my sponge and I can even double up sponges or plastic scrapers if needed. Overall, I wish the color was better & the holder remained level but I'm learning it's harder than I thought to find a holder that does everything I want, so for $10 it is what it is and at least works great! You have to wet the suction cup before applying it to the sink or else it won’t hold. As soon as I did this (thanks to a review for the suggestion) the suction was perfect. It’s big enough that it can fit two regular sponges in it and has been really easy to clean just by spraying it down. It’s a sturdy little basket! Read more

We have a stainless steel sink and this product unfortunately was unable to stick to the side wall. We cleaned the sink with soak and water and even wiped down the area we we're attaching the sponge holder, but the suction cups didn't have the holding power to keep the sponge holder from falling. Spend your money somewhere else. Read more
