I picked this up for a Spartan Super I ran earlier this month, and it was a lifesaver on two fronts. First off, I used it to fashion makeshift CrossFit-style grips (look up the Jason Khalipa tutorial) to protect my palms on the many metal bar traversal obstacles. While they didn’t last the whole race, this was my first time using tape for this so it is most likely user error. The SHIELD Precision Athletic Tape is a quality cotton tape that is made in the USA. I like the adhesive that is used, it has good adhesion to your skin, and it sticks strongly to itself so it stays in place without falling off. It does not leave any sticky residue behind on my skin. I would recommend cutting it with a pair of scissors, it can be torn by hand but is difficult and it does not tear cleanly. The tape works great for tight taping since it has no stretch to it.
