I held off on writing a review because the first time I used this cleaner, I was so blown away by how well it worked that I wanted to take before-and-after photos. I figured I’d wait until my ring got dirty again and document it properly. But since I first cleaned it on August 2nd, it’s stayed remarkably clean! I finally decided to clean my ring again and share my experience. I purchased this cleaner at the beginning of August and used it immediately. My ring has never looked so pristine! I have a Verragio ring, which is very difficult to clean due to its intricate design. Even when I take it to the jeweler, I never feel like it’s truly clean especially under the diamond. I also bought the companion brush, which is incredibly gentle yet highly effective. This cleaner is an absolute must-have! I can use it while wearing my ring without any allergic reaction, which is a huge win for me since I suffer from severe contact dermatitis. To get into the tightest spots, I picked up some delicate nail brushes (make sure they’re high quality). These helped me reach under the main diamond and into areas that even professionals struggle to clean. The result? My ring looks brand new. The cleaner lasts a long time. I honestly didn’t need to clean it again today. I was heading to the jeweler to get the bottom replated (it’s white gold and I wear it constantly, including while doing my makeup, so there’s some fading). But you’d never guess that from looking at it. Even after daily wear, makeup application, and frequent hand washing, my ring stays clean. I previously used an ultrasonic cleaner, which helped somewhat, but this product outperforms it by far. It’s incredibly easy to use. The liquid is thick enough to stay put while scrubbing, so there’s no mess or waste. A little goes a long way, and as you work it into the jewelry, it starts to foam. The white foam turns dirty, which is oddly satisfying as it shows it’s doing its job. After rinsing I could feel the difference the jewelry went from slippery under water to squeaky clean. My finger barely glides over it. There’s no residue left behind, and the scent is light, fresh, and barely noticeable. I wrapped up my cleaning routine by drying my ring with a microfiber cloth, and the results were stunning, the diamonds are sparkling beautifully! This cleaner genuinely works. It not only deep-cleans your jewelry but also keeps it looking fresh with just occasional touch-ups. After the initial deep clean, I’ve found that quick maintenance cleans are all that’s needed. If I’m heading out and want that extra shine, a quick refresh does the trick. I’ll definitely be packing this for future trips. So far, I’ve used it on all my daily pieces: my white gold wedding ring, three stackable white gold rings, a sterling silver Apple Watch band, a sterling silver bracelet, titanium earrings, and two white gold necklaces. It removes tarnish and leaves my jewelry bright and shiny. A small amount put in the palm of my hand and then under running water - then put onto the jewelry— it’s easy to use. This was chosen as the Editor's Choice (or something like that) for new products in Allure magazine (10/22) and it got my attention because I don't get around to cleaning my engagement ring and another diamond ring that I wear all the time (not to mention other diamond jewelry that I have that I don't wear frequently) as often as I should. The idea that you could just wash your hands and simultaneously have your diamond rings looking great was too much to pass up, so I bought a bottle. It works! The reviewer who said it gets your rings (and bracelets) looking like they had been professionally cleaned by a jeweler seriously needs to find a new jeweler, because it does not work THAT well (unless you have professional jewelry cleaning equipment, no home cleaning will)! But, it works as well as an ultrasonic cleaner (which I no longer use because apparently they can loosen diamonds and if the diamond has a miniscule crack, they can widen it), as well as any jewelry cleaner I've ever used. Actually, it works *better* than home jewelry cleaners that I've used! My rings are sparkly and look just great (both my engagement ring (made in 1919) and the ring on my right hand (made in 1865, a family heirloom) are antiques- and what was especially impressive is that the flower design Civil War era ring is mine-cut, meaning the diamonds are not faceted because they didn't know how to do that yet- and yet it got it quite sparkly. Both photos were taken today and I only used the Brilliance Wash once, yesterday. The down side: the price! $28 for around 3 ounces is really expensive. This is something that I will definitely NOT be using every day. If you use it only before a social event or when you notice your jewelry really needs some attention, then I think it's worth it (you really do only need 3 drops). If this is something that you are going to use every time you wash your hands, well, you have a lot more disposable income than I do! I think it's moisturizing, it's certainly not drying in the least. Oh, it says you can clean earrings, etc. while wearing. You can- I cleaned diamond earrings that I was wearing and they looked really great. However, I would suggest that other than rings or bracelets, take the jewelry off!
