I got this for my 6-year old to wear on our walks to school on those days that start off with temperatures in the 30s but end up in the 50s -- I wanted something that would keep her warm on our morning walk but that I could easily get off of her and take home with me since she wouldn't need it for recess or after school. I asked her a few times the first time she wore it and she always said her legs were warm. I like that it unzips completely -- it makes it much easier for me to take it off of her. Because this is an adult skirt it's pretty long and big around the waist so I use a pair of kids suspenders to keep it up -- she can wear it high up high enough so that it won't drag on the ground and it won't fall off her. I love the warmth of puffer style vests and jackets. Ordering this puffer skirt was just too tempting not to try. I am just under 5 feet tall and a size 10 in most things. WOULD I LOOK LIKE THE MICHELIN MAN MASCOT IN THIS SKIRT? I dressed my “ME” mannequin (that is identical to my measurements including height) in the skirt for photos. To my surprise, the skirt actually makes me look taller and slimmer with its long slender profile. Though it looks very fitted the elastic waistband is quite comfy. Colder temperatures have finally arrived. The skirt was put to the test last Friday night at my grandsons high school football game. Initially I thought it might be restrictive going up stadium steps. No problem. I unzipped the skirt at the bottom creating a slit and stepped up comfortably. As the temperature continued to drop after sunset I re-zipped and sat warmly wrapped. These weeks’ game will be colder yet, plus playoffs ahead. I will add furry lined tights underneath and a big high turtleneck. Everything goes great with my cute, stylish and very warm puffer skirt designed for cold weather. It is so lightweight with synthetic insulation that works as well as down. It is also water resistant and windproof with its unique nylon shell. Pockets are nice and deep. Snow skirts have been all the rage where I live in the last few years and now I understand why! They are so much easier to put on and take off than snow pants for a quick neighborhood walk. I'm a standard small and the skirt fit me well over my clothes. The elastic waistband at the top works well to fit a variety of sizes and thicknesses of clothes. It keeps me so cozy and warm! It is also a nice barrier for sitting on the cold bench waiting for the bus in the mornings. It is the right length hitting just below my knees.
