Obtained for karate. The shorts were smaller than I expected, but that is likely my fault for failing to find and read the size guide. So, I obtained the shock dr. Jock strap for this cup, and find it comfortable and, so far, have no issues (no hits/kicks received to the groin yet). Equipment does not interfere with mobility. Read more

The boxer compression short itself is awesome. It really feels like its is made from a heavier grade, quality compression short material. The cup holder inside is also well made. My only issue is that the MEDIUM shorts automatically come with a LARGE Ultra Carbon Flex Cup. The large cup is obscenely huge, like really big. I had to buy a medium air core cup separately, which fit perfectly. The medium Ultra Carbon Flex Cup would probably be a better match, even though the sizing chart claims that it is for boys ages 10-14... Read more

One of the worst things about all cups and jock straps I've ever used was how uncomfortable they are. But maybe it's the technology that's improved, but I can't get over how this isn't a problem with Shock Doctor. They're as comfortable as any spandex athletic drawers, and the support and protection are fantastic. I do kickboxing and sparring, and I can stretch and move easily and without pinching or painful pressure points, and the cup can shed wayward kicks and punches that I've seen drop full grown men. Both the cup and the drawers are easily handwashable between sessions, but it's such a value for money that I've bought another pair. Highly recommended! Read more
