Great product!

bel1224March 18, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I have an expensive pair of "culinary" crocs. Slip resistant on water, oil, & a better grip on ice. While the treads on regular crocs are integrated into the sole. The kitchen crocs have a tread that is glued on. Over 6 years of wearing, those treads started to separate. How delighted I was to find this complete package to make those crocs like new again for less than $15.00! 2 tubes, rubber bands, emery boards, and a spatula to spread the adhesive. I re-attached 3 treads & maybe used 1/2 tube. The smell is not bad on the adhesive & it is simple. Make sure the area is clean & dry. Scuff up the area with a an emery board for better adhesion. Apply the adhesive to one surface only. Place piece to be attached & hold for 30 seconds or so. If you need to re-adjust, you have 5 minutes before it sets. One the item is in place, use the enclosed rubber bands to apply pressure and keep in place. Allow to set for 24 hours. I would also recommend keeping a baby wipes or any other type of wipe handy. It helps if you over apply & have seepage & you will want to clean off the tube applicator & spatula. Do not use a tissue or paper towel! The baby wipes worked perfectly. I am hopeful I can get many more years out of my shoes & I would not hesitate to buy the Insoia Sole Repair Kit again. Great value! Read more

Good product. Saved a pair of hiking boots.

JustMyOpinionMarch 17, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Very happy with the results from this product. Used this to glue the sole of a hiking boot back to the upper shoe. Thoroughly cleaned both surfaces, then roughed up both surfaces with a small, fine wire brush, applied the glue to one side and held the sole to the upper with multiple rubber bands. Let sit over 24 hours and the boot is once again useful. No signs of separation yet, but it's early days. I'll try to update after the boot gets more use. Read more

Good glue, convenient packaging

LA BikerMarch 17, 2026

This is a good glue, offered in a convenient 2 pack that also includes a spreading tool (spatula), sanding sticks, and rubber bands. The rubber bands are for creating a mini clamping system, which is often key to success on glue projects that are a bit slower to cure as is the case with this type of repair--and one reason why the instructions call for a 24 hour drying period, which is probably sufficient but I like to wait even longer if possible. The sanding sticks are also welcome because glues stick a whole lot better when the surface has been scuffed up to give a better bond area for the glue to grab on. Having two tubes of glue comes in handy for avoiding the glue drying out between uses. On the other hand, if you have a really big project or use this type of glue often, you should be aware that each tube is only a one ounce quantity. So although it looks cheaper because you get two tubes for the price of what often only gets you one, the one tube may actually contain more product. Still, even 2 ounces as offered here is a pretty good amount of glue, especially since this stuff works best in thin layers rather than big blobs, even if you are filling a hole--better to make a few applications over a period of time than one big one. In this case you don't have to wait 24 hours between applications but should definitely wait longer for the final cure. I haven't had the chance to put this to use on a real world shoe repair to test its durability, but a quick small job showed the product to be as good as others I have used. In my experience most failed glue jobs are because of poor surface prep (it must be clean and dry and not glass smooth), insufficient clamping, or mistaking dried glue on the outside of the repair to mean the glue has dried all the way through in areas you can't see or test. Patience is key. Read more

Saved My Black SR Max Slip Resistant Shoes

Tee JayFebruary 18, 2026

If you’ve ever had that "oh no" moment where your favorite pair of shoes starts talking to you—and I don’t mean metaphorically, I mean the sole is literally flapping off the front like a hungry mouth—you know the heartbreak. I recently faced this with my go-to SR Max Slip Resistant Shoes. These are the ones I wear for everything: grocery runs, casual Fridays, and long walks. When the outsole started peeling away from the leather upper, I wasn't ready to consign them to the landfill, especially since finding quality shoes without synthetic shortcuts is getting harder these days. I decided to play surgeon with the Shoe Glue Sole Repair Kit (29.5 ML x 2), and honestly, the results were impressive enough that I felt compelled to write this. Here is the deep dive into why this "heavy-duty" cement actually lives up to the marketing. The Application Experience Using this wasn't the sticky, frustrating mess I anticipated. The kit comes with two tubes, which is great because you can keep one as a backup in your "junk drawer" for future emergencies. Consistency: The glue is a clear, viscous cement. It’s thick enough that it doesn't immediately run down the side of your shoe, but fluid enough to spread evenly into those tight crevices between the sole and the heel. Ease of Use: I appreciated that it works on a variety of materials. My black SR Max Slip Resistant Shoes have a rubber sole and a leather body, and the glue bonded to both surfaces without making the leather brittle or discolored. The "Odor" Factor: While it’s an adhesive, it wasn't overwhelmingly chemical. Since I prefer to avoid heavy artificial additives and preservatives in my lifestyle, I made sure to use it in a ventilated area, but it dissipated quickly. Performance and Durability The real test, of course, is whether it actually stays stuck. Most "super glues" are too rigid; they crack the moment you take a step. This stuff is different. Flexibility is King: After the 24-hour curing period, the bond felt like an extension of the shoe. It moves with your foot. I’ve logged about 20 miles in my repaired black shoes since the fix, and there is zero sign of the gap reopening. Weatherproofing: I got caught in a light drizzle yesterday. Normally, a DIY repair might get soggy and fail, but the waterproof claim seems to hold water (or rather, keep it out). The seal remained tight and didn't turn cloudy or gummy. Cure Time: You do have to be patient. It says 24 hours, and I’d recommend sticking to that. I used a couple of rubber bands to keep the pressure on the toe box while it dried, which ensured a seamless finish. Final Verdict: My Black Work Shoes Live On The success of my black SR Max Slip Resistant Shoes repair is the biggest win here. They look as good as new, and the "clear" formula means you can’t see any messy residue along the seam. It saved me from spending $120+ on a new pair slip resistant work shoes that likely would have contained more synthetic dyes and materials than I care for. If you have a pair of boots, sneakers, or even heels that are structurally sound but physically falling apart, this kit is a legitimate lifesaver. It’s a straightforward, heavy-duty solution for anyone who prefers fixing things over-collecting more "fast fashion" waste. Read more
