I ordered these earplugs specifically because they claim to be good for side sleepers. So far I've only tried them for sleeping. They did indeed reduce noise (I couldn't hear the quiet sounds that I usually hear as I fall asleep), but do not completely block sound (I could clearly understand someone speaking in a normal voice in the same room). I also found that laying my head on a pillow with these inserted was not uncomfortable because they fit in the ear well enough to not protrude. The set includes 4 pairs in 3 sizes (medium size is duplicated) and a very simple case. The large size fit me well. The case is large enough to easily fit one set, but certainly not all of them. It feels somewhat flimsy and does not close securely. For day to day use, I prefer keeping the set in the box, but the case may prove useful for travel if packed in more secure luggage (I don't trust this case for carrying these in a clothing pocket). If you're looking for a solution to block low level sounds or somewhat reduce louder sounds these will likely work for you. If you need to significantly reduce loud noise, you may need something else. I don't need them every day, but I do think they will be useful when my sleep environment is a bit louder than it usually is. Read more

These are high quality earplugs that perform just as well as the disposable Mack’s brand I used to use. They do a great job of blocking out noise for a peaceful night's sleep, and the silicone is comfortable even for a side sleeper. I also really appreciate the included carrying case for when I travel. The best part is that they are reusable. Being able to wash them with a little warm water and soap makes them much more hygienic and cost-effective than buying boxes of foam disposables. I do think that the 52dB noise reduction claim is bogus though. There's just no way they can do 52dB when most earplugs are in the 30s. Read more

I got these for my wife, here is what she has to say: "I think I'll use these earplugs regularly. This company did a great job of packaging their Noise Reduction Sleep Earplugs. The box is smooth and sturdy. The 4 pairs of earplugs are snugly set into the box so that they won’t get tossed around or fall out. Each pair is clearly marked with S, M or L. The instructions are printed on coated paper that will last (although the text size is small and fairly hard to read.) The small round silicone storage case is very nice for travel. Maximum points for good storage box design. The large size earplugs are too large for me, so I experimented with both the small and medium earplugs for aiding sleep. At first I thought that the medium size fit me best, but after trying both sizes for several nights, I found that the small was most comfortable for me. They do reduce noise, and I think they helped me to sleep better. I find that the ear on the side I sleep on most of the night feels slightly uncomfortable by the middle of the night, so I end up taking out that one earplug during the night. That keeps me comfortable for the rest of the night and still reduces noise. The instructions for inserting the earplugs are very good. I didn’t follow them initially, which made them less effective. I was glad that they put a warning on the instructions not to pull the earplugs out suddenly. Several years ago I pulled out a foam earplug too quickly one morning, and I immediately felt dizzy. That feeling lasted for several weeks, on and off. So be gentle when removing them! I really appreciated that there are three sizes for me to try out since I'm never quite sure what size I should get. The earplugs remind me of earbuds but go into my ear more. The material is soft plastic that folds easily with pressure. I often fall asleep on my side and the "small" plug is small enough to not cause too much pressure to my ears. I can still feel them, but it can cause some mild distraction but it is less distraction than the ambient noise while trying to sleep. I am giving it 4 stars for the distraction of the ear pressure, and that they fall out (after I fall asleep) and I have to find them the next morning. They are better than the previous earplugs I've tried, and I love that I don't have to throw them away after using, but I wish it stayed in and were a tad bit softer. Pros: multiple sizes to try to ensure best fit, a little carry case so you have it on-the-go, easy to insert & remove, reduces noise, about as comfortable as any other similar style of ear plugs Cons: I don't know if these block noise any better than loops or other similar items. I wish the carry case actually sealed so I could put it on my purse without worrying it will squeeze open and drop the plugs out. Overall my favorite part of this is that it has multiple sizes so I could figure out which fit me best. There's 1 small, 2 medium, and 1 large size.
