I have one bad shoulder so I am forced to sleep on my back or the other side. I have been using down pillows for most of my life. I have found that I snore when I sleep on my back and my arms often fall asleep when I sleep on my side. I bought this pillow in the hopes of making side sleeping more comfortable. First, I found that the pillow was too hard/firm for me. Despite supposedly having an indentation for the ear, I found that it still put too much pressure on my ear. I also found that it was a bit too high for my comfort. I couldn't lie on my back at all with this pillow yet I kept waking up on my back and very uncomfortable. The arm cut outs are helpful for relieving pain in my shoulder, but then my arm was sticking out to the side. I usually bend my arm up and tuck my hand under my pillow. This pillow is so stiff that that was not possible. I kept thinking it would just take some adjustment, but after about a week of trying and getting poor quality sleep, I gave up and went back to my down pillow. It is a great pillow for side sleepers but not for those who toss and turn and end up on their back during the night. The height may be alittle tall for some people, I found it a good height but my husband found it alittle tall and it gave him a kink in his neck where as it helped my neck problems. I am returning this I gave it a couple of weeks but it is so uncomfortable to me. Useless actually. I ended up buying a $29 squishy yet supportive pillow shaped like a comma with a deep dip in the top that goes under my armpit!! I found out as a lifelong side sleeper and age that it's not the pillow under my head I need...it's something that puts my shoulder in a good position that I am actually pain free. This thing is just not comfy. I would wake up with it waaay up at the top of my bed and my head actually laying on a little travel beanbag neck pillow!!! Lol. Now THAT is comfortable! Along with finding a queen size bean bag pillow and the under the arm pillow I am finally getting up in the morning and able to enjoy a pain free cup if coffee! This just is 🚫 it.
