Where have these been all my life?! As the youngest kid in our family, it was my task to route the christmas lights around the inside of the windows. I lived in England so these were huge windows that i needed a tall ladder to reach at the top. Hours were spent twisting and taping the lights. Heaven forbid I start in the wrong place and have to redo them. And removing the tape at the end of the season was a nightmare. In the 23 years since I moved to America, I have not attempted the "lights around the window" because of my childhood experience with it. This year I foolishly bought little icicle lights to put up. Enter these suction cup light holders. They are quite literally the easiest thing to use in the world. The flexible plastic means it grips the wire whether its vertical or horizontal. Readjusting the strand position is a breeze. I surrounded 2 windows (albeit smaller than the ones I did in England) before work yesterday morning without flashbacks and with a result that delighted my bleary-eyed teenager as she got up in the morning. They suction well to glass but they don't stick at all well to our metal mantle. The cups are a bit larger than expected but the slot for holding the strand seems a good size. 25 should be enough to do my window lights. Read more

The suction cups were fine when produced, but they were so tightly crammed into the sellers small box that more than half would not hold to a clean, dry, flat surface. I'm trying a hair dryer to relax the plastic to make them usaable. Read more
