From the positive reviews, which seem to be borrowed from the horizontal model for whatever reason, I expected better performance. Bought to juice beets mostly. The pulp was still moist for one, which suggests there was more juice to squeeze out of it. I feel it should've been much drier but it was passable. Still better than the centrifugal juicers. Then there was the issue of the juice output spout. In Closed position, it was dripping juice and even spurting small drops outward missing the cup completely. At some point I just had to keep it open, which I do not like, as I feel that keeping the shoot Closed helps the auger grind easier, simulating much how we create more juices as we chew our foods, making it easier to grind with each chew. These cold pressers are supposed to simulate that very same action. So I believe keeping the shoot closed so as to allow more juices to build up and help the grinding action go much faster and smoother is absolutely necessary and integral part of the efficiency of the machines main function. Pros: 1) Easy to take apart and clean 2) Small and compact enough to store away in your bottom kitchen cabinet. Not to tall! 3) Sleek and slender design 4) Simple to use 5) Fast juicer Cons: 1) Could stand to juice more efficiently 2) Leaky juice spout in Closed position My overall impression, it's a nice starter machine for a student or person with not a lot of space to spare.
