I love this! We downsized to a much smaller house and the kitchen doesn’t have much room for a full table. That’s fine because we only really one for the holidays. We had a small one for a while and it just seemed to take up space. I found this and immediately knew this would work for our needs. It’s thin so it’s easily out of the way and can be used as a small buffet table or even something to put behind the couch. Then when we want a table, the top leaves (which lay on top) fold out to each side and “ta-da!”, a bigger table that seats 6. It’s a beautiful table that matches another furniture piece I got at Ashley furniture. In fact, they sell the exact same table for almost $200 more!! Definetly worth buying from Amazon instead. It comes in 6 pieces: the top, middle base and four legs. It took my husband and myself about 10 minutes to install. The top is kinda heavy and because of the pull out pieces (that hide in the base that keep the leaves level when completely folded out) will easy slide out when turning over, you should have two people to make it easier. I’ve only had it a few weeks so haven’t used it yet as a table but seems durable. It gives me more space I definitely needed. So glad we got this instead of some cheap looking fold up table. This is what I dislike the most about buying on Amazon is that you could get someone else's return. In the past whenever I returned a piece of furniture, I would pack up very carefully having taken photos of how it was packed before unpacking. I make sure to include all parts and even carefully wrap up loose bolts and other small parts and place in the box. This item was a mess - bolts, washers, nuts strewn randomly in the box, falling out all over the floor as I unpack the larger pieces. Also, the packet of dehydrating material was broken and so that was also all over my floor as I unpacked. I was careful to determine if the table could be assembled, counting out the loose bolts as I could find them and then decided I had enough to work with. The table itself is very sturdy and useful as the leaves fold out to table width and could be used to add extra dining seating during holiday gatherings. Folded up it is attractive behind my sofa. Easy to assemble. Very heavy. Two small faults in the table top surface but not significant enough to warrant a return. Read more
