Man I wish I had this years ago. I hated keeping tin foil, poking holes in it, and the weird tinfoil taste. This eliminates all of that with its bottom plate and lets you control heat but opening and closing the vents up top. It tastes much cleaner, it's easier to use, and it's less wasteful. Its sooo much better. Buuut I wasn't a fan of the bowl. Shisha is supposed to be more baked than burned, which radiant heat from typical ceramic helps with. The silicone didn't really fit right and just doesn't hold heat the same way. It's easier to clean and unbreakable, but those are really the only benefits. Read more

The finish looks really good, you might have to take a picture of it, because once you use it it will never be the same. This HMD eliminates the needs of foil and poking holes in the foil. You will apply the shisha directly into the bowl and cover it with the HMD cover with hot coals inside. Works great. Only issue is the coal tray is a little small compared to others. durable and should fit most standard sized hookah.. the steel bowl and covered lid are durable and built to resist heat and hold up to heavy use...I like that the lid had a spinning vent that allows you to increase or decrease airflow to the coal without risk of dangerous exposure or spillover. This hookah bowl set does exactly what I need it to. The silicone makes it super durable, and I love not having to mess with foil. Just drop in the coals, adjust the airflow, and it heats up evenly for a smooth, flavorful session. The heat management tray holds three coals and keeps everything running for a solid hour and a half without needing to relight more. Cleaning is quick and easy, too—just rinse and go. There are some minor cosmetic flaws in the silicone, but they do not affect how it works. The handle on the tray gets hot, but that is pretty standard. It fits all the hookahs I own well with the proper grommet. No funky burning odor, the silicone handles the heat. I really have no major complaints, but I feel I need to reduce a star because they switched up the HMD. When I ordered it, it came with the typical stainless coal holder with super sharp vents, not an actual HMD. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another for 15 bucks... that seems pretty fair as I've received far worse HMD's than the one pictured... I'm talking heat shrunk tubing as a handle, this one looks a lot better than those! I do prefer ceramic, but I knew what I was ordering so I can't let my preference influence the rating or review. Loving this bowl and HMD set. Got tired of running through coals fast trying to keep heat correct with my other bowl & foil. This device allows me to maximize 2 coco nara flats without the need to light up extra coals mid session. You will have to clean up some extra silicone off the bowl .
