I have very thin ankles and calves and these leg warmers feel like my legs are being strangled. They have so much elasticity and a tight tug to tightness that it is impossible that they do not contain a high degree of elastane, which is not listed in the fabric contents. I would try a vinegar bath to see if they will loosen enough to wear, but need to decide if they are worth keeping first. These silk/cotton leg warmers are sooo comfortable! I bought the last 16" pair for $27 and don't regret the price. Surprisingly they don't bind even though they are Japanese; I was expecting they would be too tight for my thick calves. But they aren't baggy either; they stay up great because of the stretchy knit. The material is warm but breathes and isn't scratchy like most leg warmers. Sadly, the 16" are out-of-stock so I've ordered some 10". I hope they are long enough because the 24" would be way too long. I wear leg warmers at night to prevent cramps in my calves. During the winter I can wear the acrylic ones over my PJs but that's too hot for summer. I'll review the 10" when they arrive. Read more
