This review is for the Silk Peptide Intensive Lifting Ampoule I am in my early 70s and my face, neck and arms are showing signs of aging. When I saw this serum I thought I would give it a try. It came with 2 bottles totaling about 3.4 ozs of serum and the price seemed like a good deal so for me. If it didn't work as advertised I figured I could use it on my hands or even my feet at night. So I thought why not? In fact I have used it on my hands with good results. The bottles arrived in individual boxes which were sturdy and helped to keep the bottles well protected and easy to store which to me was a plus. The serum was easy to use and with 2 bottles I felt it would last a while. The liquid is not thick or sticky. It is about the consistency of water. When I first applied it, I noticed that my skin did feel a little smoother. After using it a few days it did appear to brighten my face a bit. But I also noticed that my face was a little drier. This could be due to the Hyaluronic acid which I know takes a little while to get used to. I have since started putting a little water on my face before I apply it and it has helped. If I had to list a concern, it would be that the syringe did not have a holder or the ability to store it in the bottle until the next use. It would have been much nicer if it would have been part of the cap. I would also caution getting it too close to your eyes to avoid eye irritation. For sanitary reasons, I would recommend not touching the syringe directly to your skin and instead dripping a few drops on your finger and applying the serum that way. I would also recommend taking the syringe apart periodically, washing it with warm soapy water, letting it dry out completely and finding a safe place to store it for your next use. I don't know yet how it will work in the long term but, in the few times I've used it, I do like that it seems to make my skin a little brighter. I ordered this set for my wife who is 57 years old as she is always on the look out for products that have a potential to improve her facial skin. This arrived in its own product packaging and both boxes were sealed for hygiene. There was no instruction leaflet included just very basic directions on the bottle and box. QUOTE: "1. Cleanse and dry your face. 2.Expel air from the needle, insert it toward the top of the ampoule, and apply an appropriate amount evenly to your face. 3. Massage gently for absorption." There is no mention as to whether face cream can be applied on top of this serum. Can this be applied morning and night as part of a daily skin care routine or is it to be used once a week? My wife does feel the product packaging (the sealed bottle and applicator) seems a little over the top and very gimicky. The bottle is made of glass and opening the bottle was quite easy. There is an arrow on the white lid where you pry it off. Underneath that is the metal seal which my wife used a knife to open, but she believes that when you lift off the white lid it should break the metal seal fully. The gray lid then pops off and this is where you take the tips off the syringe and draw the serum. She has no idea why the tip of the syringe has a screw top when its easy to just pop the lid. My wife applied this to her clean face. The serum was quite watery but it was easy to apply. There is a slight scent of a clean soap which is not over powering, this is the only way that she can describe the smell. She did not feel any tightening on her skin and her face felt a little tacky afterwards. She used her hand held fan to help dry the serum on her face. She wants to point out that she did not use a lot, just enough serum to cover the whole of her face evenly as directed. Her skin is not sensitive and she had no reaction to this serum. There is no mention on the listing of where this product is made. It ONLY appears on the box which states that this is made in China. My wife is not impressed with this product. Maybe over time this might start to tighten the facial skin but she is concerned that this is made in China so she probably will not continue to use this. Her biggest annoyance is the lack of directions or information. The price is very reasonable but this might reflect on how effective this treatment is and she feels that is maybe prudent to search online for a better product. Read more
