Great in practice, but check your monitor compatibility

The product itself is great. Sturdy, has a quality feel, and all the hardware for a "normal" install is included. I had bought this because my two monitors have different mounting points and the one monitor was waaaaay lower than the other on my VESA arms. This item did fix the problem, but then I ran into another issue... I couldn't get my cables connected, just because of the port locations on my monitor. I ended up getting 1/2" spacers IN ADDITION to the 1/4" standoffs that are included with the plate, and still couldn't fit my DisplayPort cable underneath (picture shows the cable and distance from bracket, but actual port is directly under the center of the plate). The plate itself is great, it's just the design of my monitor that is giving me headaches. I ordered a 90 degree adapter to overcome this issue, so no big deal. I could have just gotten even longer spacers, but I'm worried I'm already putting too much tension on my monitor with it being ~2" away as shown in the pictures. TL;DR - You may need some extra hardware depending on your setup, but I have no complaints with the product itself. Read more

WORKED PERFECTLY as an offset extension for my side 23" monitors in a triple monitor setup!!! Saved me about $150!!

I have a ergostand with 3x 23" monitors attached to it. I upgraded to a single 34" Ultrawide monitor and decided I would still like the option of running some side monitors off it. The XL replacement bar that supports up to 3x 27" monitor cost $150 plus a good charge on shipping. I simple thought about how could I extend my monitors out using a bracket or plate. Thought I mind even build something. Well looking around online I found these which at first seemed like a great option that might work. I just screwed them to my side 23" monitors and using only the provided screws and existing screws I was able to get these working. No trip to the hardware store which I figured I would need to do. I now have room to run a 34" center screen and 23/24" side monitors and maybe even 27"s on the sides. This isn't a perfect solution as there is more leverage on the VESA mount which can cause the monitor to tilt as mind did. I simply had to take the VESA mount off the monitor and tighten the center bolt. Put them back on and now they stay in place. Time will tell if it loosens up but I am fairly confident this will be solid. I will try to attach pictures for future ERGOstand users or others that simply need to offset their monitor. Read more

Just Works

Exactly what I needed. Got a triple monitor stand for my 3x ASUS VS247H-P's, and I have a Asrock Beebox N3150 (from another site on sale for $99), all (amazon) linked below: ASUS VS247H-P 23.6" Full HD 1920x1080 2ms HDMI DVI-D VGA Back-lit LED Monitor Pwr+ Triple-Monitor-Stand Led-Lcd-Desk-Mount for Three-3-Screens up to 24"-inch-Heavy-Duty Fully-Adjustable-Ergonomic-Tyke ASRock PC Barebone System Components Other BEEBOX N3150/B Essentially I needed something that would let me VESA mount the monitor to the stand but still let me VESA mount the Beebox behind the monitor. I was surprised that this was really the only product I found for the job. It was easy enough to use and while it did not come with any other hardware like screws (that I recall) for the price its not a big deal as everything else came with screws (stand, beebox, etc). I've got it so that the Beebox is mounted back left of the monitor VESA holes/stand arm (when looking from the front of the monitor) with the Beebox facing up and ports down. Very happy with it. Suprising Good Quality, Better Than Home Made!

I need to attach something to the back of a VESA-mounted monitor, and considered making one myself in my garage shop, This review is of the Silverstone MVA-01 NUC bracket sold/shipped by Amazon; I include this detail because reviews and product listings sometimes get reassigned to other products or suppliers. Compared to home-made I was skeptical because it seemed expensive for a 'simple piece of metal', but for what I paid I feel the better quality was worth it. It's ~1/16" steel (before coating) and has a nice matte black powder or paint coat. All edges and holes were smooth and rounded, the four threaded holes have swaged hex inserts. It comes in a nice monitor-mount-style box that prevents it from getting scuffed or bent in shipping and comes with 4 screws and 4 threaded standoffs. Dimensions 250x115mm OD nom. Read more

Very nice mount

Bought two to put my Skull Canyon NUC to the left AND above VESA mount on my ThinkVision X1 monitor - the NUC won't fit well with one mount only. The resulting compound mount is very sturdy and looks good, besides, I was able to attach a slim external optical drive on the opposite side of the vertical mount (with double sided tape), and there's a place below the NUC to put a USB hub or 5.1 USB soundcard. Note that the setup pictured requires drilling holes through the monitor mounting plate of X1's leg - while the leg doesn't use VESA holes, it's monitor mounting plate covers them. And I've added 1mm thick washers between NUC backplate and the mount, otherwise protruding ends of the bolts mat scratch the NUC. Read more

does not need to be this heavy

It is heavy, and it's weight does create problems when you use an adjustable monitor mount. Read more

... NUC far enough away from the VESA mount to easily connect cables to the ports facing my monitor arm

With this bracket I was able to move the NUC far enough away from the VESA mount to easily connect cables to the ports facing my monitor arm. That was the main reason for my to buy this. I had rigged up the NUC and the arm by using 2 screws of the VESA bracket to mount the NUC and 2 screws to install the monitor to the arm. Was stable enough but it was a tight squeeze for USB/Audio cables. This bracket is an elegant solution for that issue. Highly recommended. FYI: Take the additional weight into consideration if you have a monitor arm that supports forward/backward tilt. Mine tilted forward as soon as I had mounted the screen and NUC to it. I had to tighten the tilt screw to the point where I feared it's going to snap. Read more
