This coat rack exceeded my expectations in terms of quality for the price. The walnut finish looks nice, and once assembled, it feels sturdy enough for light to moderate use. It’s a stylish and practical addition to an entryway or bedroom, perfect for holding lighter coats or accessories. That said, it’s not without its downsides. Assembly Frustrations The assembly process is more frustrating than it should be. For what is essentially a straightforward product, there are an unnecessarily large number of pieces. While the instructions are clear, the sheer number of parts makes it feel overly complicated. Adding to the frustration are the letter stickers on each piece, which are meant to help with assembly but end up being the most annoying part of the process. Every piece has a sticker—for example, all the hooks have a "G" sticker. Unfortunately, these stickers are incredibly difficult to remove and leave behind sticky residue. It took me twice as long to peel off the stickers and clean the residue as it did to assemble the rack itself. Without Goo Gone handy, I had to use alcohol and a lot of patience to get the pieces clean. A simple fix? Put the letters on the bags the pieces come in instead of on the pieces themselves. That way, you only need one sticker per bag, and there’s no residue to deal with. Alternatively, use higher-quality stickers that peel off cleanly—how much more could that really cost? Design Limitations Another issue is the base. It could definitely be larger to provide more stability. If you’re planning to use this rack for heavy or large winter coats, you may find it tips over more easily than expected. For lighter items or a few jackets, it works fine, but it’s not the best option for bulky outerwear. Final Thoughts Once assembled (and de-stickered), this coat rack looks great and functions well for lighter use. If you’re willing to spend some extra time cleaning off sticker residue and don’t need it for heavy coats, it’s a decent buy for the price. I bought my coat rack in April, and it is now December and I will be ordering a replacement because I accidentally broke my first one while throwing a tantrum. I looked through all the other coat racks that Amazon has, to see if I could find a better one for a better deal, but still came back to this one because it has everything I need while being very affordable. It has nine hooks for sweaters, coats, jackets, hats, or whatever else you need to hang. And it has a handy little shelf on the bottom, which I have found myself placing little things on like mail, keys or bags. The stand itself is metal, aluminum I'm guessing. The shelf is made of wood, and the hooks are plastic. Overall it's pretty good quality, and sturdy, as long as you don't plan on throwing it across the room. Read more
