These Simpletics sea salt sprays work right out of the box and gives me that beach hair. The spray has a nice vanilla scent and is paraben free. The spray does give a light hold to my hair which I do like because I actually enjoy having movement in my hair and that it isn't stiff like a sculpture. There is also the added ability of a good amount of volume boost to those that like having some volume to their hairstyle. My hair is curly and wavy (depending on which part of my head you're looking at) and about shoulder blade length and I'm always trying to figure out what to use to make it look its best. I recently went to the beach and the way my hair looked when it air dried after being in the ocean was AMAZING, so when I found this sea salt spray I thought I'd be able to recreate the look at home... but sadly, no. I'm not sure if it's because I can't fully immerse my hair in the product the way it was drenched in ocean water or what, but what I end up with is dull, dirty looking hair. The vanilla scent is very powerful at first, but dissipates as the hair dries. The bottle does spray nice and evenly but it struggles when not perfectly up and down which was a struggle for me as I was putting my head down/flipping my hair all around to try and get an even application. Works best on hair with some wave/curl to it. I have fairly straight hair with wispy hairs around my hairline that curl when at the beach/or in humid environments. This spray works pretty well! I have the straightest hair there is and was looking for something that could add some wave without needing to use heat. This fit that bill. The smell is very pleasant it’s not overbearing. It gives my hair a nice shine without any stiffness, hair feels very soft. Now you want to use this when your hair is damp per the instructions on the bottle. It functions as it says it will. Now because my hair is naturally straight my hair won’t stay wavy with using this for long. I get a few hours before it starts to go flat. Gives you a beach look without needing to be at the beach.
