We are on a 2nd set replacing LED's in all vehicles. Great reliability even after 2+ years. Pros: -Super bright for its size — replaces standard bulbs and really lights up interiors or license plate areas. -Snug fit — no wiggle or looseness in the socket, even after repeated installs. -Clean white tone — no weird tints or color casts, gives a crisp “daylight” feel. Not blue. -Plug-and-play simplicity — no wiring headaches, easy swap. I have not had any polarity issues with them no matter the socket it goes in. -No error codes Cons (minor): -1 bulb from the pack did not work If you want a reliable, bright LED upgrade without fuss, this is a five-star pick. I had to buy couple different types of bulbs until i found the right one. Anything Amazon said it fits, would not fit, and i finally figured out my car uses 194 light bulbs. Even external sites (such as Auto Advance - car parts) i looked at were giving conflicting information. So first thing i suggest is take out one of the bulbs you want to replace and make sure you get the right size / kind. After i did that, I just received the package today and tried one just to make sure it is the right kind / size. First picture shows the difference between the original bulb on the right and the SIR IUS LED on the left. How easy or hard to install will be based on your car, once you get to your light bulb, you pull the existing one out and push this one in. Mercedes loves to make simple things complicated, so mine was not the easiest to work on, so, once you get to your bulb, it is easier than changing the light bulb on your night stand. They are on the pure white side, rather than bluish / cool white, which is what i was looking for. I would not consider them super bright, but they are bright just the right amount. i want my car to look bright, not blind people when i open the door. So i would say these LED's have the perfect balance. They do dim in and out as the original bulbs, and they caused no flickering oor CANbus error / dash error on my Mercedes (Which is a pain when they do). So overall, for the moment, i am happy, and will come back and update my review in about a month just to let others know how everything is going. Since i purchased these very recently, it is hard to make a guess on longevity, but they do seem to be on the higher quality side. Read more
I read the reviews and didn't believe what I heard but these lights are awesome and almost TOO bright. Each bulb has 3 LEDs, one on each flat side and then another pointed directly out (the pictures I attached will make the most sense - the yellow squares on the bulbs are LEDs, the U shaped metal on the other side is what pushes into the fixture) In my Maxima these lights will fit into the door courtesy lights, the trunk light, and I believe the license plate lights; I didn't end up switching out the license plate bulbs with these because these are so extremely bright I didn't want my license plate lighting up like it has a spotlight on it all the time. They will not fit any of the overhead lights (the dome light or the push button lights up front, those are a different size) You can see the before and after pics I have attached. These are much brighter and are white in color as advertised. In the trunk the extra light is amazing. In the courtesy lights these were actually too much. During the day they look great but at night when they turn on they will blind you, so I cut out a tiny piece of electrical tape and placed it over the LED that faces directly outward and left the two others uncovered and that took the edge off and works well so it isn't as intense. In short they are awesome lights I will definitely get this upgrade in every car I own after this. Read more
These bulbs are easy to install as dome light incandescent replacements. However, In under a year, a couple of them started flickering requiring replacement. Customer service has been excellent as far as replacing them under warranty. However, who wants to replace these every year. Who knows, this may be an issue with many 194 led bulbs. I have them as dome lights and tail lights and they're easy to install and brighter than incandescent. However, they are better as interior dome lights. Because they don't have 360 deg illumination, they leave dark spots when used as tail lights. As a result, I removed the tail light bulbs and purchased a similar 194 led with 360 deg illumination. Keep in mind I bought a pack of 10 and 2/10 flickered in about a year. Hopefully, that won't be the case with others. Summary, brighter than incandescent, easier to install and remove because they don't get hot. Overall, pretty good. Read more
Make sure you install them the correct way; they aren’t bidirectional. Make sure it lights up before you reinstall the plastic covers over your lights. I thought one was faulty but I guess I had just lucked out and installed the first 4 in the right orientation. All 10 work great, are incredibly bright, and don’t flicker in my use case (2009 Toyota Avalon Limited). When I approach the car, the lights slowly fade on, and will dim til off after locking; these seem to dim and fade just fine without any noticeable flicker. The inside of the car is almost uncomfortably bright with all the lights on now. The trunk light with the stock halogen was essentially useless, now it’s actually useable, though mostly because of the location of the light combined with the solid cage that goes over the bulb partially blocks the light; just a poor design on Toyota’s part there. I ended up keeping the tag lights the stock Halogen bulbs because these are seriously so bright it was almost obnoxious having them on the outside. They also replaced all 4 door sill “puddle lights,” and they illuminate the pavement like a spotlight. Some other LED’s are like a blue white almost; these are like a crisp daylight white. Time will tell how they hold up over time, but so far so good. Read more
