Great product, worked perfectly for my needs. We have a small unfinished room for laundry and a treadmill. While there is barely enough space for other exercises I still wanted something on the floor. These were perfect and are very comfortable to stand on or do push-ups/crunches on. I was also able to use a box cutter to get the pieces cut perfectly to fit in odd spaces. They also seem to be pretty durable, my dog walks in the room quite often and has yet to puncture any of the mats with his claws. Read more
We redid our upstairs room to be a yoga studio and used these on the floor. Once we got the carpet out these snapped together, I cut them down on two sides of the room to fit the 12' x 25' room, and 6 hours later, including moving stuff from one side of the room to the other several times so we could install the panels, we were done and it looks good! It does have a plasticy scent that lasted a couple of days, but it helps to open a window. Our panels are 1/2 inch thick but 3/8s or 1/4 inch would have been better. Read more
Ordered a 2nd set of these mats after owning 1 set for about a year now. These exercise mats are great, and I love that they come with edge pieces. After seeing in many other reviews that there are 2 thicknesses (1/2" or 3/8") these mats can be, I appear to have gotten fairly lucky in that the new set matches my old set in being 1/2" thick. I find these mats work best when the force applied on them is perpendicular to the mat, so dynamic exercises will tend to pull these mats apart unless you have them butted against something on their outside edges (like having the mats span from wall to wall!). As an added bonus, these mats make great padding under your sleeping bag when you are car camping if you don't have room for the bulk or weight of a cot or an air mattress. Read more
Great price. A little slippery on top surface when doing plank & mountain climbers in training shoes 🤷♀️ May be a little improvement barefoot. A more rubber like surface would work best, but you can't beat the price. It does what I need. Simple, clean, can take apart in seconds or slide under sofa. Does the trick for my 50 min home workout. It would work great for equipment on top to protect floors as well. Read more
I used these mats under our Total Gym. I needed them, because I just got new hardwood flooring and did not want it ruined! It works great under all the weight & stress from the equipment. I just wish that I had ordered more so that I could lay them even with four laying side by side. There are only 6 tiles total, therefore I am 2 tiles short of what I would like. However, that is probably my fault for not reading the dimensions thouroughly. I thought the tiles were 12"x12" each, so I could interlock another12" layer next to them, but they are 24"x24" each. So I used 4 of those lenthwise and the remaining two, I put under my desk chair. Read more
I am redoing my basement using these mats and so far the project is turning out great. The mats are thick, good quality, easy to install and very soft. They are also very easy to cut to fit into oddily shaped spaces. I've ordered about 60 tiles so far. My only request to the seller would be to look into shipping more than 1 package of 6 tiles in a box. The amount of boxes I have accumulated is nuts! Read more
You get a total of six (6) large squares. I ordered the black mat to use when I do T25 in the mornings in my living room. I have carpet and didn't want to get it dirty while exercising. This exercise mat is decent, not the greatest. I was expecting something a little thicker but these are pretty thin and somewhat cheap. What I don't like about them is that they slide around easily (there's not much grip on the underside) so I'm having to move the mat back into place from time to time. These will probably work better if they were placed on cement and/or concrete. It's easy to assemble and break down but as of right now, they seem to keep coming apart while I'm exercising so I have to stop and reconnect them which can be annoying. That's the only issue I'm having but other than that, I think they would be great to place your exercise equipment on so that you won't scratch up your floors. Read more
I needed to replace our carpeting in our multipurpose room, which is really a second bedroom we converted for computers, TV/stereo and exercise. I needed good acoustics, reasonable insulation, reasonable wear, soft for exercising and pet-friendly. It took us less than 1 day to tear out the old carpeting and lay down these interlocking tiles -- and it's looks great and is so functional. I'm completely happy. We bought more than we needed - about 1.5 packages - but have slid those under the sofa for replacements if needed. My husband did the hard labor of ripping out the carpeting and pulling up the tack strips and carpet pad staples. I installed the tile mats alone and it was so easy and fast, fitting under the baseboard where the carpeting was originally, and cutting around the doorway was a breeze with heavy-duty scissors. For straight cuts I used a metal straight edge and box cutter. There was a slight color difference between tiles and I'm still not clear whether that difference varied between packs or not, but we decided we didn't mind the variation, especially since any future replacements might differ in color anyway.
