I've never had a straight razor before but I've always liked the idea, the simplicity and austerity of it. This is a handsome straight razor and I'm very happy I ordered it. However, having never owned one before, a little guidance would have been nice. I have no idea how to break a razor blade, properly insert the blade without slicing open a finger, and shave without slicing open my throat. Just a little page or a url for a video would be helpful, and I'd happily pay the extra expense to include that with the razor. Overall, it's still a nice straight razor, and I look forward to learning how to use it properly. Read more

Solid straight razor (note that no blades come with it). I like the weight that it has and the notches on the handle. My previous razor didn't have a notch, making it uncomfortable and inconvenient to use. Once I added the blades I had it worked quite well. My only gripe is that sometimes its takes a little effort to separate the area where the blade is held, but I think after a few uses it'll break in. Read more
