The stretch laces don't come with loose ends on top so it seems like they weren't made to be adjustable, but it's easy to pull on laces and tie by hand at top to tighten fit. Like other reviewers mine initially fit perfect in forefoot but loose in heel. With this tweak I can still get my foot to slip in, and boots are cute /comfy/ warm.
