Skechers Womens Slip-ins Go Walk Uptown Pant

I was very apprehensive about the size I ordered. I am 5"4" 180 lbs and normally wear large and even a medium in other pants made with this fabric. I ordered XL because Amazon suggested it and they were so right. At first when I received them, I thought no, these are too big and prepared a return. Then I decided to wear them and they are perfect. they seemed big to me because my others in another brand are tighter in stomach and legs. These, however fit and waist band is wider and so much more comfortable than others like this without being too big. The true test was if they fit my butt without looking baggy and they are perfect. The fabric is so light and cool. I live in a hot climate and am in and out of my car all day. These are wonderful for that. I bought 2 pairs of navy blue in XL and may also get the other colors. I'm sure my review will be the first of many positives about these perfect pants. Update: I bought the black XL recently and they are a little snugger and are the advertised ankle length. Definitely size up with these particular go walk pants. I’ve bought different styles of skechers pants and they all fit true to size except for these. I usually wear an xl or 2xl depending on the style and these I had to size up one more size. I bought a pair of these in my usual size and they fit too tight around my hips and thighs. I love the style and these were on sale at a great price so I bought another pair but sized up and they fit much better. The pants were silking and non clinging. I'm a plus size woman and I was surprise of the nice fit. The color was good and I know from the poly/cotton like material that it will last a long time. Pants were a little snug though in my size. The only problem I had with the pants were they aren't true to size. Please order a size above your normal size for these pants do run small. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I got two in different sizes. I figured either medium or large would be most likely to fit. In one other person's video review that I saw on Amazon the reviewer said that she got a size smaller than she needed because she wanted the pants to be more form fitting. It turns out that I cannot do the same. I need a looser fit. The medium size just was too hard to pull up past my hips. The size Large was good. The pants are nice and loose. The material seems good and lightweight for hotter days (I do have yet to use them in very hot weather). The pants are good for general use. It is good that they do not have some outlandish logo or brand name on them or they would be less versatile. The pants are casual in style and the drawstring is what mostly makes it obvious but if you wear a certain kind of shirt over the waist line area the pants can look just like any other kinds of slacks and you may wear the pants even in a semi-casual office or workplace. The pants also seem good for just lounging around the house. It is good that they do not have zippered pockets or zippers at the ankles. Zippered ankles feel very awkward and also the zippers can scrape against your ankles. And zippered pockets, though good to prevent items from falling out, can be uncomfortable when you are lying down and the zippers press against your skin and also scrape against the back of your hands when you put your hands or take them out of your pockets. These pants are also good to wear when you go jogging or do yoga or go biking or for a walk. It seems that very few casual active-wear types of pants like these have no zippered pockets or ankle zippers. I do wish that these pants came in colors such as gray, slate blue, chocolate brown, dark burgundy, yellow ochre, and charcoal. Of course I still have to use these pants on a longer term basis. The material seems easy care and it seems that the material is quick dry and the pants seem good for traveling as they are easily packable. I would recommend these pants but it depends on your needs . UPDATE :September 2 2025 I just tried the pants for the first time. I had to edit the review video more. I like the pants quite well. As I state in the more updated video, the material is quite robust for the kind of material it is. One thing I noticed about it is that when I wore the pants in slightly cooler weather, the material did not get very cool itself and feel uncomfortable against my skin. I will have to try the pants on a longer term basis to see if this is always the case. I like that the pants do NOT have zippers at the cuffs or at the pockets. A majority of active-wear, or casual-use pants are made with zippers at the pockets and at the cuffs or have elastic sewn at the cuffs. I prefer open cuffs and open pockets. . I would not give the pants a 5 out of five stars because there are some features I do not like. The pockets are not deep enough for one thing. They are shallow in fact. Also though I appreciate that the pants are a bit shorter in length than other similar kinds of pants which seem to be made for rather tall women, I do wish these pants would come in petite lengths such as 29 or 30 inch inseam. Also more than just that, the waist band is a bit too taut for size large, the size that fits me best, and of course clothing tends to be made for people who have more perfect physiques, but I, and I am sure many others need a looser feel at the waist. Also I dislike the drawcord even though I knew from the beginning that the pants have a drawcord. The waistband elastic is enough to prevent the pants from falling down (unless you are way too thin) so the drawcord is not really necessary. It may be for "style" purposes than practicality. However I can eventually remove the drawcords when I am sure I want to keep the pants ( and I am sure I will want to keep them rather than send them back and I will probably order at least one more). I actually dislike Skechers when it comes to their footwear. I dislike the look and the design of practically all Skechers sneakers (so far). They are only for fashion not function and also the designs are meant for younger people and I would say do not look age appropriate on older persons. These pants are very general in appearance which is something I like. I think the fit could be a bit better, just ever-so-slightly more fitted so that the cuffs are not so floppy at my ankles but that would require having them tailor made to my specifications. I think these pants are good for travel and would foreseeably be comfortable on a long car or airplane or bus trip ( I will have to try them for that to be sure) and they are not bulky so they would be easy to pack. They are quick dry and lightweight and seem to be good in hot weather though I am not yet sure I would use the word "breathable." The cuffs allow good air flow (which is one reason I like open cuffs). I always need general-use kinds of clothing, the kind I can just grab from the closet and put on and get going. I need clothes NOT to be embellished with fancy additions and that is easy care and be versatile. These pants are quite good for that. I hope Skechers does not discontinue this pant but maybe improve on it. I will update further according to my findings as I use these pants. UPDATE September 17 2025 These pants are good but the way the waistband is designed it makes it uncomfortable and harder to pull on and pull off the pants. The entire waist band should have the sewn-in elastic that is from the back to the sides of the pant, reaching completely around the waist. The waist part feels awkward because the elastic design was not extended to the front of the waist area. See video. I am reducing my rating from 4 to 3 stars. Read more
