For a bit of background, I have used and reviewed at least a dozen neck and shoulder massaging devices over the last couple of years. I have also tried a couple other massaging devices from this particular brand of SKG. I have to say that I find most all of their products to be soundly designed and nicely crafted. This neck massager is no exception to the high quality I expect from this brand. It has a sturdy and durable feel to it, and it’s very user-friendly. It doesn’t take long at all to get familiar with the control buttons. Also, they provide an adjustable strap so that you can attach this massager and then use it hands-free. It offers a variety of massage modes, intensities, heat settings, and even voice announce. To me, what sets this apart from other neck massagers I’ve used is the size and variable intensity settings. I love that this is a more compact design and that it’s rechargeable. That makes it a nice portable option not only for wearing around the house, but to take with me when traveling. Also, the ability to adjust among different intensity levels is definitely a plus, in my opinion. The modes provided are easy to toggle through using a tap of the power button. This is where this particular device could use some improvement, though. The modes are all very very similar. One provides a quick pause between massage cycles, and another rotates the upper neck nodes in the opposite direction, but for the most part it's the same repeated motion over and over regardless of the mode you use. So, like I said, this could be improved. The listing information states the following: "4 massage modes, simulating pressing, kneading, patting, exercising, etc., providing a real deep massage experience." I've used every mode, and every single one of them is a squeezing motion that is most comparable to pressing or kneading. There was no "patting" effect, and I have no idea what they mean by "exercising" mode. Again, all four modes are very very similar. That all being said, I’ve enjoyed using it in the evenings when I sit down to watch TV. Just resting my head against the back of my recliner is enough pressure to hold the device in place, and I don’t even need the straps. The media could not be loaded. This is USB rechargeable via an included USB-C charging cable. It’s really easy to use. There are three buttons on the top. I propped up some pillows behind me and put this against my neck and leaned back before turning it on. It has audio mode which will announce the modes as you press the buttons (since it will be behind your head) but you can turn that off if you want. There’s an infrared light in addition to the moving pieces for massage. I found this to be surprisingly relaxing. I liked the sensation. It’s a little noisy for other people in the room so I use it on my own when I’m watching tv or just unwinding. I really like it and recommend it highly. Read more

I’ve used a few different neck massagers and my dog chewed the cord to my last one. This one was given to me as a gift and I am not impressed. It only feels right on my shoulders. Can’t use it on my back or neck like some of the others I’ve had. When I do use it on my shoulders it doesn’t stay comfortably. The different modes all feel like the same thing. Read more

This is the worst design of a neck massager I have ever used. It only gets one spot, and if you move it to a higher or lower part of your neck it rolls its way back. It pinches the same spot over and over and over again. My neck is narrow so I barely felt it, but to my thick-necked husband, who likes a crazy firm massage, it was excruciating. Pinch, pinch, pinch. It's definitely well made and once you get it into the right position, it feels exactly like someone giving you a neck massage. I normally like a deep tissue massage. I'm an athlete, so I am not afraid of intensity. I was feeling great and felt it really relaxing my muscles until I removed it and felt my skin continuing to burn. I think it was a combination of the heat and the friction that caused a tear in my skin. I actually didn't realize this until later when I had my husband try it and he also had a similar wound on his neck. I have not used it water the initial use because I needed to give my skin time to heal. I have never had any massager rip my skin. I will try again, but won't use the heat and use oil. Read more

This neck massager is pretty good. It has different modes that feel like a real massage. I like the heat function, it's relaxing. It is nice to not have to hold it the whole time. The battery lasts a long time, which is convenient. It's a good way to relax after a long day. I would recommend this massager. Read more
