I bought two sets of aqua puffs and they were so fun for the grandkids ages 8, 5, and 3. The felt pens were colorful and held a lot of color. I like how they added pastel colors as well as brights. I thought this was a fun little project to do with my 6 year old neighbor. She enjoyed coloring and making the animals puff up with the water. I don't think the second time will be as entertaining. One of the markers (red) was completely dry and didn't work. The other colors were vibrant. No running of colors at all which means you should be careful using them because they are VERY waterproof. Don't use with a little one that will color other places. Key chain was easy to attach which was a bonus. My one complaint is the finished product definitely lacks the sharpness shown in the product photos. The sponge cells break it up a bit. Still fun and worth the cost. Read more

This is a fantastic gift for kids ages 5–9 who love crafting. The kit comes with markers and can be used independently. It’s fun to watch the colors “come alive” as the puffs expand about ¾ inch. The media could not be loaded. We got the Animal Friends Color & Grow kit for my toddler and it’s been a really fun activity for quiet time. The set comes with adorable animal scenes that “grow” color when you add water — no markers, no paint trays, and very little mess. My child loves seeing the pictures magically fill in, and it keeps them engaged for quite a while. The paper is sturdy and didn’t tear easily, even with enthusiastic use. Drying time is quick, and the colors stay bright after they’re dry. It’s helped my toddler practice hand-eye coordination and patience. Just one thing — it’s easiest when we do it at the table because it needs a flat surface and a light hand with the water brush. Still, overall this has been a very positive craft for our 3-year-old.
