This vented flat iron is a very good tool. It has different temperatures, heats up quickly and the plates are smooth and don't snag hair. The air vents/fan are not loud and easy to use. It works really well with my fine hair which is a bit frizzy and works in one pass. I am still learning the curl function, but it's quite easy and the iron is lightweight and easy to manuever. I bought this styler as a gift for my daughter several months ago, and she’s been very happy with it so far! She especially likes the different temperature settings available, and how easy it is to select the setting she wants for different situations. She only uses it as a straightener, so I can’t comment on how well it works for curling; but I considered quite a few different products before deciding to purchase this item, reading many product reviews along the way, so am very glad that she’s happy with it. I was a little concerned about the possibility that the noise from the fan might be an issue, since that was mentioned in one person’s review, but she tells me it’s relatively quiet, and definitely less noisy than the typical hair dryer, so not an issue at all. Love this SKIM Flat Iron Straightener. I have had many flat irons before, but nothing like this one. This is the best flat iron I've ever owned. Love the Airflow cooling vent feature where it leaves my hair freeze free, shiny and soft . It also makes fantastic curls. When I curl my hair, I see that the curls last all day. This is not usable on wet hair. The “air cooling system” does not dry your hair. It just keeps the outside of the straightener cool so that you don’t burn your hand while straightening. Read more
This is the best flat/curling iron I have ever owned! I have long thick hair and it normally takes about 45 minutes to flat iron and curl my hair. This one iron did both and took half the time. I bought a BaBylissPro that also curls by heating up the entire surface and this Skimi Air Flow styler at the same time and did a side by side comparison. I spend so much time on my hair I decided to splurge and buy whatever product did the job. It was an easy decision. While the BaBylissPro was pretty to look at , the cool air styler was easier to use, as well as flattened and curled beautifully. The cool air flowing thru sets the curl before you release.
