First of all. These are very cheap headphones. Like, they're made of fine plastic, they aren't especially nice looking, and they aren't the "popular" kind of headphones people use these days- those being "true wireless earbuds", aka airpods and clones. That much is obvious, of course, yet I've given them a five star review. This begs the question, what niche DO these headphones fulfill? Firstly, the sound quality to dollar ratio is phenomenal on these at the price I paid for them. They are incredibly inexpensive and sound fantastic. Like most Skullcandy you should expect slight a slightly more sculpted sound profile, with your bass being somewhat more powerful then your mids and highs, but on these, it's actually surprisingly not as intense of a sculpt, making them excellent for general, non-music use. And that is precisely how I intend to use these. They come with several bits. 3 sizes of nubs for the ears- small, medium, large. And, visible in the marketing materials above, you can see it also has this sort of ear spacer loops to supposedly assist with keeping them in your ears. These are removable, and depending on the size of your ears, could be quite uncomfortable. Personally I find these unnecessary, but not uncomfortable, so I removed them. Lastly it comes with a tiny clip to join the two wires to prevent them hanging down your back if you want. I don't bother with this but it works fine for the purpose. I'd also like to praise them for using non-environmentally destructive materials for the packaging. It's basically 99% paper. But, moving along- as I said before, I primarily use these for a non-music use. I used to use pairs of Skullcandy Smokin'Buds 2 Wireless as my primary "sleeping headphones". IE- I wear them to reduce outside noise and listen to ASMR tracks when I go to sleep. But, despite my purchasing 3 pairs as backups, they all have begun to deteriorate or broke outright, and my final pair are now on their last legs with the wire beginning to fray quite severely. So, I had to locate a suitable (and hopefully inexpensive) replacement. I decided to give these Jib+ a try. The qualia for sleeping headphones is: - be comfortable in the ear by default when fitted with the correct size nubs - be low profile to allow you to lay on them directly without them getting pushed inward - not have excess cable or physical design that gets caught on bedding or pillows - last at least 4 hours or so - not be gratingly loud when they turn off at low battery - be relatively noise isolating - have faithful enough sound reproduction to handle the sort of sounds one hears in ASMR tracks well Now, comfort and how low profile they need to be to comfortably lay on will vary some from person to person- but for me, I am happy to report that, with the loops removed, this pair is very comfortable to sleep with. So much so I have now ordered two more pairs as backups, much as I once did with the old Smokin'Buds 2s. Other than that, my only other critique is that they are tragically use the old USB micro B connector instead of the more modern Type C connector we've all grown to love. So with all that, I'd say- overall, if you need a cheap pair of bluetooth headphones and don't need "true wireless" ones, look no further. These will the best option in terms of price to sound quality easily. Read more

I recently had to replace my Jib (turns out they aren't a fan of going through the washer 4 + times 😬) but even with that my first set lasted through electronic abuse and eventually just couldn't charge (do not recommend trying this at home). But these are my FAVORITE brand of earphones ever. I have a wired set I've had for years that was a replacement to again washer abuse. I literally only have to replace then when they get washed a few times (or the cat eats them). They are a solid sturdy brand that battery life and quality is retained well past what "life" is quoted. I prefer them being connected so I don't lose one. They are so customizable with the squishies for noise cancelation and comfort (sometimes I need to not have it 100% noise canceled and the smaller bud works for that if I turn it down); the ones that fit my ears 100% cancel ambient noise. I've worn them without music or sound just for that effect at times. The sound quality is wondeful, I feel surrounded and for binaural beats is top notch 10/10 always recommend skull candy and will keep buying this version as needed per my life with cats, a teenager, adhd, and the never ending mountain of laundry where I don't check pockets. Pretty good earphones for a pretty good price, with a few annoying details. The best thing you will get out of these is sound quality, i dont know if its extra bass or such but these sound very clear, doesnt drown out song details and generally doesnt give out poor sound quality. Material wise, they dont feel cheap, not compared to other earphones ive had at least, and theyre small and easy to carry. They are fairly reliable, never had issues with connecting it to my phone and always worked as intended. Heres where my criticism starts, first of all these do not enjoy being around your neck. Having had other earbuds of this same design style they are very good at staying to your neck to the point where you can forget they are there, these do not, its not like they fall off or such but more like they will slowly slide to one side or the other and will need readjusting before usage sometimes. Next is the battery, good duration and quick charge, but incredibly, and i do mean INCREDIBLY annoying when it is low on battery, believe me it will damn well let you know when its low on battery. It will basically keep cutting any audio youre listening to playing noises and saying lowe battery, it made me insanely angry at times but its forgettable more often than not. Aside from these i have nothing more, maybe some quality of life improvements? Examples are: magnets for the earbuds, ive had a few in the past where they have magnets and lock together below your neck, makes them easier to handle(cant think of another way to describe it). USBC Connector: I was insanely shocked when i saw Micro USB being used on these earbuds, although it isnt exactly a gigantic issue it certainly was hard to get other ways to charge it apart from the wimpy little cable it came with(seriously why has it become industry standard to sell such useless little cables). Although my criticism may seem much longer than my praises i dont want you to get me wrong, i do really like these earbuds, i bought them on the premise that they would sound better than the ones i had, and they very much delivered on this front. They are very much worth it for the price and if it got improvements in the future i would only approve of it even more! Thank you for reading. Read more
