I've used Skycaddie GPS units for over twenty years...my wife bought me a competitor's GPS a few years ago..used it for few weeks and went back to my Skycaddie.. Last year I bought the SX 500 an outstanding GPS, however a few months ago someone stole it off my pull cart while I was in the pro shop, I immediately contacted Skycaddie and had it turned off.. I debated on getting the LX5, told myself it would be to small, wouldn't be able to read the information, would be difficult to swing with a watch on my wrist and on and on.. I was absolutely wrong, this thing is so accurate, very easy to read, no issues with the size on my swing...I love it...I dire anyone to steal this off my wrist.. I've read a few question the cost, it's part of your game, do you play with a $100.00 driver or wear crap shoes..No you don't.. Buy the damm thing and enjoy, you'll thank me... Read more
Ordered this watch on 27 May, have used it once and was looking forward to using it today for a Father's Day round of golf. I turned it on and it started flashing the logo screen, now it will not stop flashing and I cannot even turn it off. I contacted SkyGolf support through chat and the assistance left quite a bit to be desired. The suggestion he gave me was to hold the top right button for 6-10 seconds to allow the device to reset. This did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue, the watch is still flashing right now. So far this watch is a complete piece of crap. UPDATE 24 Jun 22: Contacted SkyGolf customer service to try and get device replaced. Do yourself a favor and just call them, the chat help is no help at all. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and since it was a failure within the first 30 days they sent out a replacement which I received today. Will update after a few rounds, if it lasts that long. Read more
I’ve been a SkyCaddie product user for many years. I recently lost/or stolen, a dedicated SkyCaddie larger GPS device...I loved it. Decided to replace with a GPS watch. Compared with GARMIN watch that was more expensive and the SKYCADDIE had similar features. The SKYCADDIE GPS watch has these features I like: 1. Clear, bright high quality screen 2. Display each hole at the tee, then zooms in to show the green and sand traps once I get within about 100 yds. 3. Tracks Fairways hit, GIRs, putts, then syncs scores and data to the SKYGOLF360 website. 4. Can measure to distance for each shot, though it’s not automatic. Only minor negatives: the watch touch screen requires a firm touch to move from one screen to the next. Not a sensitive as I would like, but probably designed that way intentionally. Also, the watch needs to be recharged after every round. The maximum display time is 30 seconds so have to touch the screen again to wake it up, but still tracks your progress in the background so no delay in providing yardage. Highly recommend it for the golfer who want to have information on their wrist. Also, good for the golfer who has everything. 🤣 Oh yeah...it works as a watch also...just saying. Read more
Works great. High visibility even in the sun. Seems very accurate as well. Sync to their app is very quick especially on Wi-fi. Also looks good if worn as a regular watch if not golfing. Only con to me is being called a "smart watch" , it does not read texts, emails notifications etc...from your phone. Hopefully Skycaddie can do an update to include that Read more
The graphics are beautiful, but using the watch can be complicated and I found it to be slow. I arrived at the course parking lot and turned the power on. Paid my green fees changed my shoes and the watch was sill searching for the course.Went to the practice putting and after about 15 minutes the watch return an error that could not find course. I had to try two more time to find the course. It finally found the course and then 10 minutes late gave me an error message and I had to do the search again. It must have taken 30+ minutes to finally fire the watch up and start playing. During play it worked OK, but changing the hole (not sure how I got off the correct hole), trying to tell time, etc. was no fun. I returned it for a simpler yardage watch with no fancy graphics or other options. Read more
I got this watch for my wife since she is always asking me for yardages. She actually went online and found it. I have to tell that you that I was a little skeptical on buying this watch since I thought that for such a low price it wouldn't work as well as my watch that is double the price. I have to tell you, we went out last week and both had our watches on. Our yardages were very similar and hers gave us so much more information that mine, like how far our shot was to the water and how deep the greens were. I am very impressed with how this watch works and how clear it is to read. I can't tell you too much about battery life since we have played one round but this watch is definitely an excellent watch to get for the average player. Read more
