I'd heard about Slik before and know that anything made or designed in Japan is usually pretty nice. This is designed in Japan, made in Thailand. It feels sturdy. I'm only going to be using a Sony A7, so nothing crazy heavy. I much prefer these clamp locks over the twist locks most tripods use now. It comes with a little carry bag which is nice, but I probably won't use it. I burchased a Manfrotto fluid head which fits perfectly. One leg has a nice rubber grip witht he logo embossed in it. I wish the other legs had this too. I bought one from Amazon warehouse with a scuff on the bottom of the leg. For the price I paid, I couldn't be happier. Read more
Best bang for your buck. This is replacing a 40 year old Slik tripod that is starting to have plastic rot. Longevity is astounding. Easy to use and stores in its own carry bag even with the Slik pistol grip head attached. Read more

I’ve been using Slik Tripods for a little over 4 years now. Finally upgraded from their Slik lite travel series to this! I gotta say, a lot more stable and I feel way more safe having my camera with battery grip attached on top. This thing won’t budge in the wind especially with the hook you can attach weights too at the bottom. Top notch for a great price! Read more
