True to the Gorilla brand these appliance glide pads are well made and do their job as promised. I used them under a stacked full sized washer and dryer combination. I needed a 7ft Johnson bar to lift so Walter could slide them under each rubber foot. It's still a job to slide the stack but it is doable. Well job Gorilla! Read more
After we had a new, composite deck installed, we noticed our old deck furniture was lightly scratching the surface every time we pulled a chair out. A quick search found these (it's almost like a new tech--composite decking--created a market in workarounds.) They're a good size, perfect for the chairs, and even the table and swing legs. They've held up an entire summer, so we'll have to see what the winter does to them. The only thing is that they aren't sticky, so as you move furniture, you have to keep equal pressure across the item, or you'll leave one behind when you go over a bump, or between floorboards. I bought these sliders for a set of wooden dining chairs that are on a carpeted floor and were not easy to move away from the table and back. I did not want sliders that had adhesive on a larger surface than the bottom of the chair leg because they would collect dust, dirt, etc. so I chose these. Although the sliders worked well as is, when an empty chair was moved, they did not stay in place, probably due to our tendency to give a slight upward tug on the chair. This would not be an issue with a heavy piece of furniture nor one that was moved infrequently. To keep the sliders in place, I used a heavy-duty double-sided tape that I cut to fit the bottom of each chair leg and centered each leg on a slider. Problem solved. Theses sliders were purchased to go under new washer and dryer appliances. Because the flooring is new, I needed something to put under the feet, to help protect it from the weight, (mainly the washer), and to make it easy to move them for cleaning purposes. The Gorilla pads were the only ones that offered the ability to support 1k lbs, per four pads. After installing them, both machines could be moved with ease, and the floor is totally protected.
