I got this less than a week ago. I had it hovering above the water for a while, then I thought it probably shouldnt be in the water so I glued a couple washers to it and used a magnet to hold it against the lid of my small fish tank. A couple days later I noticed it flikering so I removed it and noticed a little water got into it. So I hung it in front of a heater duct over night to let it dry. The next day one of the leds was still flikering. Long story short It no longer lights at all. I can't return it in its origional condition because it's broken. Save your money.$7.00 down the drain. I like this little light a lot! It's on a micro aquarium with shrimp and has helped the plants grow a lot! Wish it came with the wall adapter (has USB cord only) but I have a bunch so I was able to use it right away. Read more
Not a good replacement light for hooded tank
Don’t waste your money, spend it on something better quality - you can find more convenient LED lights that change color & turn on/off with a remote for a few dollars more. This one has no physical switch so you must unplug it. I have a small hooded tank which they don’t sell replacement lights for, so I got this one. Doesn’t seem water proof. I’ve only had it for a month. Went to install a bigger light for some plants I added … looks corroded or maybe not water tight so something got in and started growing? Read more
