Probably not a good choice if you really want functionality. It does tell time. But you can get a watch that just tells time. This was purchased as a starter/trial fitness watch for a teen. It is so far off even the simplest readings, like pulse, that even my teen got frustrated. She did like what it was supposed to do so ended up getting a better one.
