I’ve been trying to swap out more of my daily plastic items for eco-friendly alternatives, and these SmartLifeco bamboo interdental brushes are such a great find. The bamboo handles feel sturdy and comfortable to hold, and I love knowing that I’m not throwing more plastic into the landfill every time I clean my teeth. The bristles are surprisingly soft and flexible, so they don’t irritate my gums at all, but they are still firm enough to get into those really tight gaps that floss sometimes misses. They’ve been especially helpful for getting around certain spots that are hard to reach, and my mouth feels so much cleaner after using them. It’s a simple switch that makes a big difference for both my dental hygiene and the environment. If you’re looking for a more natural way to take care of your teeth and gums, these are definitely worth picking up Read more

I bought this because my dentist recommended a similar item. The description online makes it appear that the brush portion is flexible. It bends, but isn’t flexible. It feels like a metal wire as opposed to a bendy piece of plastic. It poked me in the gums and actually made the situation worse. If you have sensitive gums, I wouldn’t recommend this product. The SmartLifeco Bamboo Interdental Brushes quickly became one of those small tools that’s just useful to have around. They’re designed to fit between teeth where a regular toothbrush can’t reach, and the soft bristles do a good job clearing out food and buildup without feeling harsh on the gums. The slim shape helps them fit into tighter spaces, which makes them especially helpful if you have braces or spots that tend to trap food. The bamboo handle gives them a natural feel and a comfortable grip while using them. They’re flexible enough to move around a bit so you can get a better fit between different gaps without forcing it. The reusable design is practical since you can rinse them and use them a few times before replacing them. With a 10 pack included, it ends up being a nice value for the money while still feeling a bit more thoughtful than basic toothpicks. Read more

I didn’t realize this at the time of ordering, but SmartLifeco is B corp certified! They also participate in a few other sustainability initiatives, so this is not just any other product that slaps on some buzz words and calls it good. Bamboo is one of the best alternatives to materials like plastic, so it makes me feel like I don’t have to sacrifice the planet for my dental health. The brushes come packaged in a compact box which further demonstrates the company’s dedication to our planet. These interdental brushes function as expected, and I would definitely recommend you consult with a dentist if you haven’t used them before (you can cause more harm than good if used incorrectly). There are three different sizes of PikStik, which make these suitable for lots of different people and situations. The bristles are fine and incredibly soft, and the flexible head is useful for navigating those hard-to-reach areas. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but I'm so happy with my experience that I’m curious to see what other products they make. I do think the price is high for these ($7.99 in January 2026 for a 10 pack), but you would also be supporting a company who is doing a lot behind the scenes to help the planet and our future. There isn’t any kind of safety seal or tamper evident technology, so I definitely recommend you checking all your brushes before storing these away on the off chance that you receive a return. It’s a good dental brush. Cleans well. Just the right width. I gave 4 stars because I prefer the brushes that have the caps. But still very good. Read more

I started using these because regular floss does not always feel like it does enough, especially in tighter gaps and around the gum line, because i have really tight teeth. These brushes are small and flexible, which makes them easy to maneuver without feeling like I am poking my gums. The bristles are soft enough that they do not cause irritation, but firm enough to actually remove debris. I use them slowly and gently, usually at night, and they reach areas floss sometimes misses. I also like that they are reusable and made with bamboo, since I am trying to cut down on single use plastic where I can. They rinse clean easily and dry without holding onto moisture. They are especially useful if you have crowded teeth or wear braces, but even without that they feel more precise than standard picks. These have become part of my regular routine instead of something I forget about in a drawer. Read more

These are surprisingly good for a not-plastic solution. They're made of bamboo, and the company that makes them has some certifications that makes their sustainability claims more than just fluff on a page. As floss picks, these are totally acceptable, even though I find the use cases of toothpicks over floss to be nebulous at best. If you're using this to replace wooden toothpicks, I don't know if I'd bother. Wood is already compostable and these cost almost $1 each. Either buy toothpicks from a fancy sustainability company or buy regular toothpicks and take the $7 you saved and use it to plant some trees. If you're using this to replace floss picks/dental floss, I get the sustainability nudge a bit more and the price isn't quite as crazy, but either way I don't think that this is quite "worth it." price wise.
