This cordless neck massager is an interesting addition to my tool kit of massagers for personal health. At first I thought this would be helpful when sitting in my recliner and watching TV. Upon receiving the massager, however, and trying it out, I realized this is best used in a reclining position (laying down or laying back in full recline). This means that it does not work exactly as I first envisioned; but it works great nonetheless! This product is another great offering from Snailax. Of the various massagers I have purchased over the years, Snailax are the consistently highest quality. I use at least one of the products nearly every day, and I have shared them with others whenever they complain of physical pain or strain. They always report back how helpful the products are in returning them to health. This massager is cordless which is really helpful. I don't like having to fight with cords, especially when getting the massager set in the right position under my neck and head. This cordless massager is easy to maneuver as it has no cords to get in the way. The massager is relatively small in size, though still ample enough for good coverage, even though I'm very tall. As with other Snailax products, the heat is strong and warms my muscles very well. The massaging action is deep yet gentle, meaning it never hurts even on sore muscles. I received this wonderful little massager 1 week ago and I will say it's awesome! It's similar to sitting in one of those massage chairs at a nail salon but it's portable. It doesn't vibrate but I prefer it not to do that anyways. I do have to adjust the height in order for it to get my lower back (tailbone) and yo to my neck, but that's not bad considering the price I paid and the fact that the massage I get is top notch. I used to get massages 1x a month and they used to be deep tissue massages. However, after I broke my tailbone 2 years ago, and had shoulder surgery last year, it's not feasible to get those anymore. So this is the closest thing I can get. I can really feel the heat come through in the massager and the nodes are tough enough to get my knots out and boy do I have some knots. Lol I charged it one time so far and have used it 3x and haven't had to recharge it again so the battery seems good. I know it says not to take it in my car but I can't wait to use this when I drive long distance. 😉 So far, I love this massager. I hope it'll last for a long time. Read more
After a few uses it seems well made and likely very reliable. It is, as some reviews suggest, a tad on the strong size if you have a sensitive or hurt back. For me it is great in the lumbar region but a bit harsh as it goes up to thoracic. I'm large and it's also a bit short for me, doesn't get past scapula if reaching lumbar. That said, I'm pretty pleased with the action, heat, battery life and it is well worth the reasonable cost. Read more
Again, I was very skeptical at all of these self-massage units on the market. I stand corrected as this little electronic worker is the perfect massage for sitting on a chair and having it work its wonders with you. I tried to lie down on it in bed but it was too intense...but I can see working up to it as it is the same strength as a talented Shiatsu practitioner. Nice heat function, not too hot but a nice warmth. You do not have an adjustment to different intensities but you have a rolling function that goes up and won your back and a focus setting that stays in one area. For me, and I am 5'7, the top massage area hits between my shoulder blades. you may hev to adjust to get the massage places where you want them on your body. You can push against the unit while sitting which also makes it feel even better, Wotth every penny. You will save lots of money as this unit works as well as a masssge therapist if you are just needing a little love and care to your back. if you are used to Rolfing or myofacial release, this is the more gentle cousin and a general massage to your backside. I can see having this on while I do all my tedious paperwork while working at my desk as it is absolutely delicious and decadent while working. Total winner. Read more
This thing is child sized. So if you are an adult human not from a place where everyone is of shorter stature, this thing will massage only one square foot of your back. That said, it will do a good job and you can move it up and down with a pillow or something to get the rest of your back. It also doesn't go down as far as I would've expected so it never reaches the lower lumbar regions. It's nicely built, works well, and the battery feature is awesome. The price point is good for the quality. It is just small, like less than half your back kinda small (I'm 5'10, FYI). The design also means it doesn't really conform to your spine/back (again unless you are like 4 to 5 foot tall). Basically, it's perfect for a pre-teen, or someone of really short stature. Read more
I ordered this with reservation because I’ve used other back massagers that were more like heating pads or vibratory. This one really rolls out the tight muscle so that a short use relieves the tension and I can forget about stiff aches. I haven’t used the heat part often, yet, but look forward to it when colder weather comes. I even used it as a foot massager by leaning it against the couch armrest and resting my feet on it..felt great! The pressure is intense, so it took a little adjustment in positioning to prevent too much pressure....basically I can’t lay on it. I may try puttin a blanket between the massager and my back if I want to press against it more. The ‘spot’ function is great! As soon as I find a place where the massage feels really great I lick in the ‘spot’! If I were to improve it I may make the contour a bit wider at the base but that may be my body shape! Ha! Both my husband and I have used it multiple times without recharging it, and it keeps on going! Really helpful to be able to move it around the house without an electrical cord. Read more
