Beautiful, classic style and exceptional quality. Very comfortable with no need for “breaking in”. Sole bed had built in targeted padding. The interior is smooth, nothing to poke or rub your foot. The description said microfiber lining, which I do not like as it tends to pill over time, I am pleased to find my pair of black boots have a brown leather lining. I find the size 8 true to it’s size, the instep is not tight. Roomy enough for winter socks. Comfortable, with a “boot feel” not a “glove feel”. The back zipper is very comfortable, no rubbing on the Achilles tendon (to which I have had both of mine injured and they are very sensitive). The shaft is good for narrow to regular width calves. I do not think wider calves would fit. I’m 5’ and the height of the boot comes right up to my knee, I couldn’t wear any taller a shaft. For 10 winters I have worn a somewhat similar Sofft boot that has a “glove feel” and recently someone commented, “Oh, you have new boots!” They still look new, and I’ve had them reheeled at least 3 times! I include this comment to attest to the durability and quality of Sofft boots. This new pair are waterproof, have traction soles and are more solidly stable than my previous pair.
