I like these. I only use bamboo paper products because I love trees and we need all the trees if life on the planet is to survive. These are nothing fancy for your decor, which is fine by me, certainly not the plastic containers which collapse when close to empty — though before that they are quite neat — but they are a good size, quality, softer than any other bamboo products I've had, and a carton lasts a very long time. They are brown, which I presume means they are unbleached, and they have no scent. (Chemicals, especially artificial fragrances make me sick.) So I am quite pleased with these. The only thing that I just realized to my disappointment, is that they are not made to be safe for flushing down the toilet or septic systems. I've been stressed recently with the bamboo toilet paper that I used to like, now being replaced with a terrible (scam) toilet paper that I don't even believe is bamboo, that I had considered using these tissues instead. I'd been throwing them in the toilet at times before and there has been no problem so far, but I guess this plan won't work, unless I throw them in the garbage as they do in other countries I've been in. But if you want them for anything but throwing them in the toilet, these are great as tissues and wipes. Read more
We have allergies in our household and go through a lot of facial tissue. Right out of the box I wasn't sure if we were going to like these. The plastic package with the slit at the top takes a bit of getting used to rather than the standard tissue box. They also don't feel quite as soft as premium tissues. However, they are very smooth so they don't abrade the nose even with frequent use, and they are very strong so that you can use them more than once if you need to. They are also a bargain at about $3 per package of 402 tissues, compared with store brands at $2.30 per box of 124. Finally we are happy not to be contributing to the deforestation of Canadian boreal forests anymore. We have reordered these twice. Read more
So I like these tissues. My nose doesn’t require bleach to clean it. Give me that toxic free tissue, plz. I even like that they’re a little smaller than your average sheet. Most of the time it’s feel like i waste a whole sheet, so it’s perfect. They’re soft enough, slightly pricey but last a long time! Read more
Soft, but nothing special to talk about. Slightly smaller than normal full-size boxed tissues. Other than that, good quality! Read more
I'm pretty happy with these. I am a big Tempo user because Tempos are 4-ply and they're very strong and reliable. These, even though they're 3-ply, are based on bamboo, so they seem to be really, really solid and they don't tear. They're not super soft, but they're soft enough that they're pretty effective. I would recommend them for strong, effective tissues. And, no lint. Read more
Edit/update: I used to like these tissues, but the company recently lowered how many tissues were in each packet (although the tissue packets now come in their own auto-dispensing box). As a result, the company greatly raised the price for these tissues (because while the price per case was essentially the same, you got many fewer tissues in each case). As a result they are no longer a good deal for the price, so I have lowered my review from 5 stars to 3 (and I have also canceled my Amazon auto-order of this product). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Review below: Due to long standing sinus issues, I have historically gone through a lot of Kleenex. However, I recently found out that some bamboo alternatives were available (which also does my part to save a tree or two), so I decided to order a case of these tissues and see what I thought of them. Overall, I find these tissues to be nicer and cheaper than genuine Kleenex are. One thing I noticed is that these tissues stack many more tissues for the space than genuine Kleenex does. So at first glance, you would think you were getting much less product than you get with Kleenex. However, since each package of tissues has over 400 sheets in it (much more than in a Kleenex box), at a cost per sheet these are actually cheaper. Also, presumably due to their bamboo construction, I find these tissues to be soft on the nose and more absorbent than Kleenex are. As a result, I seem to go through fewer of these tissues than I do with genuine Kleenex. Now the one thing genuine Kleenex has, that these tissues lack, is a decent dispensing box. Yes, the plastic wrapper (that these tissues are shipped in) has a pull out tab you can use to turn it into a dispensing box of sorts, but that arrangement looks flimsy at best. My solution to that problem is to just buy refillable tissue boxes for every place I want these tissues around the house. Yes, that is a one time expense for each tissue box I buy, but I can then refill those boxes (with these tissues) as often as I need to. Read more
