I bought these flamingos when I was searching for decor for my son’s birthday sleepover pool party. In the spring, I had asked my son if he cared what the print was on his swimsuit (he outgrew his old one). He gave me the typical teenage ‘whatever!’ answer and I took that as a challenge to find him the most ridiculous suit I could find. Flamingos!!! So when planning his party a few weeks later, I came up with the Flamingoed at 14 theme. Thus this glow in the dark flamingo purchase. I didn’t know what to expect when I first opened the box. They don’t look like much from the get go. However, once you inflate them, they really look cute! They’re larger than I expected, but the perfect size in comparison to our 24’ round pool. The weighted bottoms of the flamingos didn’t feel like they would be enough to keep the flamingos from blowing out of the pool (our backyard feels like a wind tunnel sometimes), but those pink little guys have stayed put in the water the entire summer. We’ve had some crazy storms this season, but not enough to cause the pink birdies to take flight. I’m also impressed by the brightness of the flamingos. You can see them from quite a distance. The light travels all the way up through the little guys’ heads so it’s obvious what they are when all lit up at night. I’ve had them in the pool for 5-6 weeks now and their light is not dimming at all. The floating flamingos add a touch of whimsy to our backyard. I enjoy watching them bob around. I have received new flamingos from the seller gratis. They are adorable floating in the pool & I had no issues with inflating them or the stems popping out. We have had them now for a couple weeks so I can confidently recommend them. The two previous ones I had must have just been “lemons”. I was actually pretty stoked to get these, they looked cute in the video that I saw online and the reviews were good. When I got them I blew them up which was a little tricky because the stem is so short. At any rate, I did get that job done and no matter what I did the stem popped right outside of the hole. It would not stay in. It held the air for a while because of the way the air was shut off after you blow it up but I doubt if that would’ve held through a pool party. Not to mention having that tab sticking out and poking someone. I would’ve just replaced them but the second one did exactly the same thing, giving me no confidence that if I had replaced them the other two would have been just as useless. Read more

These are AWESOME! Got them in March and after almost 7 months in the Florida heat, rain and wind, still remain inflated and light up every night! We inflated them and stuck them in the pool and that’s where they’ve been since. Though, two times one blew out onto the deck when it was really gusty out. Just stuck back in and still work perfect. The media could not be loaded. These little Flamingos were a BIG hit at our company party! Bobbing around the pool, they are very visible even with the pool lights on - especially if you have colored pool lights. I have a vanishing edge pool and floatable decor usually end up on the edge. I anchored these with a string through the air inlet loop attached to a weight that sinks to the bottom of the pool, giving them just enough string to reach each other but not tangle. Made out of sturdy plastic, and easy to blow up. Careful to not overfill - just enough to fill the flamingo face nice. I highly recommend these. Read more
