Absolutely pleased with these all around. Very easy to install and level, though I did not use the included hardware. I opted instead to use 14" threaded ground anchors in the four corner holes. It made leveling these on a slope (see pic) a breeze. The brightness levels are perfect and should satisfy almost everyone. All metal housing, no plastic. The powder coat on the metal while perfectly adequate, isn't the absolute highest quality and thrown rocks and debris during yard work could certainly cause small chips and scratches. Similarly a thrown rock from a lawnmower could easily crack the plastic light housing. Unavoidable hazards, just be mindful. These soak in sun even on mostly/partly cloudy days very well. I have these on yellow light. They currently come on automatically around 5 ish (whenever they sense lower light) and continue all through the night until they shut off around 7am. They are clearly capable for a 14 hour run time so the solar function is aces. I expect that duration might lower if the whole day is very overcast and charge is limited. I looked at quite a few different lighting options and like so many things ordered online, sometimes they are not what was expected. In a bad way. I am very pleased these were my first choice. I grabbed these lights to add some illumination to a dark corner of our yard where our small dogs like to hide when we take them out at night. These have been the perfect solution. When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that they are made from a sturdy, heavy duty metal instead of the plastic that I expected. They look very modern and sophisticated and are an excellent value for the price. They also work well. They are bright enough to illuminate the corner of the yard but also soft enough to not be intrusive. Any issues that I have with these lights is in the installation. While the lights themselves are made of high quality metal, the spikes to install them are plastic. Our yard is hard and rocky, plastic is no match for that type of ground. I was able to get them partly in but not all the way so I am not able to achieve the clean look shown in the product pictures. Instead ours look like they are floating above the ground. Not ideal. If you are going to make such a nice light, put the time and money into quality mounting spikes. Read more

This item is a set of two solid and substantial solar bollard lights. These lights are heavy and they are well made. The casing is made of all aluminum, and the aluminum has a well-applied black powder coating on it. To me, each light weighs well more than a pound. They are big. Each light is almost 14 inches tall and about six inches square. Each light can be mounted on a wall, in concrete or staked into the ground. They come with expansion “burst” screws and Allen wrenches. For installation directly into the ground, each light comes with a massive stake that measures more than eight inches long and almost three inches in diameter at the top. The stakes attach to the lights with a very large screw and nut. The bottom of the stakes have barbs on them to make pulling them out of the ground difficult. Each light also comes with its own remote control. The batteries for the remote control are included. The remote control allows you to turn the lights on and off manually, set them to auto dusk-to-dawn, set them for a definite period of time (i.e. 3 or 5 hours) and change the color temperature of the light from 3000k warm white to 4000k daylight white. With a full charge, these lights can stay on between eight and 12 hours. These lights have a sophisticated, simple look to them that will let them blend into a number of surroundings. I found this set of lights to be very impressive. They are not cheap, plastic solar lights. These are metal, solid, well-built lights that will, in my opinion, last a very long time. **This is an updated/corrected review by the consumer** I like these landscape lights. They are very attractive, produce a lot of light, and have a good amount of functionality. Initially I was disappointed with these lights, as only one light lit remotely. The other light could not be controlled by the remotes. That means that its functionality was not able to be changed. Imagine my disappointment, especially given the price. After charging for ample time, I retested the light with the remotes. Both lights are fully functional. The luminosity/brightness of the lights can be changed by remote, as well as the warmth/color of the light, being changed from bright wight to warm, soft light. The lights are built well, and are very solid pieces. They light the surrounding area sufficiently, without being annoyingly bright. I feel that these lights could withstand a tornado, due to their metal construction. They are definitely worth the price. Read more
