They were brighter than I expected, they look nice once mounted, and the overall build feels solid for this type of outdoor light. Installation was straightforward. Mounting them felt about as simple as hanging a wall clock. The set included helpful placement stickers, which made it easier to mark the holes before drilling. After that, it was just a matter of adding the wall anchors, driving in the screws, and hanging the lights in place. I appreciate when a product keeps setup simple, and this one did. Another thing I liked is that they already had a charge right out of the box, so I was able to test them without waiting around. That is always a nice touch with solar products because it lets you get a feel for them right away instead of wondering if they are working. So far, I like both the appearance and the function. They look clean on the wall, the plastic does not feel flimsy, and they seem well put together. At this stage, they are doing what I expected them to do, and they are doing it well. Of course, long-term durability is something only time will prove, especially with outdoor lights, but my early impression is very positive. Based on setup, brightness, and initial build quality, I would rate these 5 stars so far. If you want a clean-looking solar wall light that is easy to install and starts off strong, this set has been a good one for me. Read more
This review is for a 2 pack of Motion Sensor Solar Wall Lights. They are fancy looking, like lanterns which I really liked but a little smaller than I was expecting. It says they are 4"x3"x7" tall. Imagine a half piece of paper. I wish there were more ways to mount them as they only give you a paper template with 2 holes to match up and 2 little screws each. Then you just line up the openings on the back with the screws you hammered into your wall. While this is great for a wooden wall, I have brick. They also needed to have a third hole as an option to center it in case you just wanted to use one hole. You have to use both holes or it hangs crooked. I used a block of wood and then wire wrapped that to my fence. Doesn't look that good but will wait to see how they last before I make a more permanent mount. Over all they are cute and they do light up the area. Am playing around with the different settings to see which works best for my home but am sure it will be the motion setting .I don't want to leave the light on all night as it will draw moths etc. Read more
This is a decent solar light for backyard or walkway. Charges pretty fast. It is not super bright but has a decent warm light. This has a great design and look pretty luxury. Installation is very simple. It has 3 modes and comes with a manual to show how to setup each mode. Has 2 pcs in the box. Overall, great for price with great quality and material. Read more
The product photos are enlarged to show detail in the scenes, and definitely aren't as bright as depicted, so I had to dock a star. Otherwise, the set is a solid 5 all day. Or should I say all night! I just don't want you guys to be disappointed. Think of these as accent lighting. Not enough to light your driveway like wired lights would be, but they provide an adequate amount of light for a walking area if you put them 3-4 feet from the ground, or ambiance if you put them up higher. They can go anywhere, thanks to being solar, which Mrs Aloha Friday and I really like. They look really cool with the exposed LED bulb - nothing like the typical LED diodes. The settings are really cool, so make sure you read about them. That's the standout. You get a motion sensor option, a dim option that brightens when it senses motion, and a constant on dim. Awesome! That helps conserve the internal battery, so when you don't have a super sunny day, you'll still have light. The other great feature is that the bulb is completely sealed, so no bugs get in! Bugs swarm around our lights, and if spiders get in you get webs full of creatures you are constantly washing, which is harder to do around the inner part of a light compared to the outer housing. They're all plastic and could be a little less as a result. The $20 price as of this writing isn't terrible for what you get, Read more
The Solar Porch Lights Outdoor 2 Pack are Motion Sensor Lights. I hung them on the side fence and as I approached them they came on lighting the way on the side of the house where we keep our trash cans. No one ever wanted to take the trash out after dark but now it’s very bright as you approach the side yard. I highly recommend these in an area that needs more light but electricity is not available. The media could not be loaded. These were a good pick for my side entrance because I wanted light there, but I did not want a big project. Mounting them was easy to handle, and once they were up, the area felt safer and more useful at night. I like products that make a noticeable difference without turning into a whole weekend job, and this fit that kind of purchase for me. The style is one of the reasons I chose them. A lot of solar lights look overly basic, but these have more of a real wall lantern shape, so they look like part of the house instead of an add-on. That made a big difference once I stepped back and looked at the full wall. The motion response has also been helpful in everyday use. Walking around the corner, taking out trash, or opening the side gate feels easier because the light shows up when I need it. I also like having different lighting settings since not every spot around the house needs the same kind of brightness. Read more
I installed these solar porch lights at the entrance of my driveway to help light up our gate since we’re on a pretty dark road, and they’ve worked out really well. They are very bright, you really can’t miss them which is exactly what I needed for visibility at night. The motion sensor and lighting modes are a nice feature, and I like that they come on automatically without having to worry about wiring anything. They are made of plastic, but they still seem to do the job just fine for outdoor use. I’m happy with how much light they put out and how they’ve improved visibility around my driveway. Read more
