When I first opened the box I was honestly surprised at how large the work light was. I've bought multiple work lights over the years and each one was about the size of the quarter of this, yet those usually came in 2 packs. This light is really big and powerful BUT not so big that its not portable. The battery life is shockingly good too. I always top off any new items battery before using it just to get the longest lifespan, and this battery took quite some time to fill up 100% when it was only 1 "dot" from being full which indicates how big the battery is. It has multiple settings. Super bright & wide LED, Bright & Wide Warm light, LED at lower power outputs to save battery life, and an emergency Red & Blue flashing light that looks like a cop car's lights. All of them are plenty bright but the full power setting can light up the entire woods behind my house. Functionality wise I like how they built a hanging hook onto the kick stand plus they put a tripod female thread on the bottom so you can put it onto any kind of tripod. The stand works great for adjusting the angle when placed on a flat surface but you can also adjust the angle while its hanging from the hook too. Overall I wasn't expecting this light to be as nice as it really is. Its great quality, has the backup option of solar charging & using as a powerband, and is plenty bright to light up a huge work area and not just a car hood. Read more
I love my rechargeable solar work light! This light is small but mighty. Although it is small in size and very lightweight, it does a great job in lighting dark spaces and great for detailed lighting too. This rechargeable solar light is also waterproof. It can be hung for overhead lighting or freestanding using the built-in handle securely attached to the base of the light that can be tilted to accommodate the lighting direction without a lot of fuss. We were able to try this solar light when we grilled on the deck during the night time and it worked great. The solar powered light lasted the entire time. I appreciate that this solar light can be charged and then turned off until needed. It also has a port for charging cell phones and other small electronics. I did notice that it pulled the battery down faster while using the light and charging the cell phone, but it held its own very well. This is a nice solar light to keep when on the go inside of the trunk of my car once it is charged. I'm just not sure how long that charge. Nevertheless it can be easily charged by placing it out during the daytime. The first time I charged my light, it was cloudy outside but the solar light did fully charge anyway. It's great that this light also has five different settings including an emergency light that comes in very handy during emergency breakdowns on the side of the road. The cost for this light is very reasonable considering that it does a great job just by using solar energy and can charge small electronic devices especially during emergencies. This lamp is powerful. It can be set for bright, soft, police style alarm light (no sound, emergency strobe) making it perfect for prepers, police, first responders, and off grid living. It's durable and the solar cell is remarkably effective. Not super heavy, can easily be carried in a backpack even by a kid, maybe 2 or at most 3 pounds. The only downside is: the batteries are built in. Unless you are handy with electronics you would not be able to replace the battery. I do like it very much, it is powerful and useful especially during a blackout or road emergency. It has not happened yet but if my car breaks down forcing me to park on the side of the highway I will take this and set it 50 feet behind my car on the strobe flashing setting. This will cause cars to see me and slow down and hopefully attract help. I expect law enforcement would not be offended at such a use since they also want highway safety: might also be a downside tho, so be real clear you're not impersonating a police officer. Great product, I hope someone in law enforcement reviews it and chimes in on whether the emergency setting is ok on the highway because it does flash red and blue like the police would. Final point: you can also use it just like a power bank to charge up your other electronic devices such as your telephone or tablet -- this is a lifesaver in a real emergency and a real convenience in blackouts which is why I highly recommend it. This is a great light to keep in the car! I got this for my husband who frequently works on the roads after dark, which leaves lots of opportunity for after dark break downs. This work light is perfect for that! It has multiple warmth settings, so you can choose what color works best for your eyes and environment, plus you can also adjust the brightness by long pressing the power button. It has a nice built in handle/stand combo on the back, that you can use to prop it up at the desired angle, or you can use to carry it. It has magnets, but sadly, they don't accomplish much, because they're not strong enough to support it's weight. It also has an emergency strobe feature, but I must say it concerns me a little because the strobe colors are red and blue, which COULD, in some states, result in legal issues, esp if used on or near the roadway. The charge time is pretty quick and reasonable, whether charging with the USB input, or solar. After a full charge, the light will run, on high, for approximately 8hrs straight. That's pretty impressive in my book! The Build quality is good. It produces good light, though I feel like it is no substitute for a drop light, because this is better at lighting larger areas.
