I'm a big fan of these solar lights for a big number of reasons. These particular lights were very appealing due to the large panels and the ability to put in the ground with included stakes or hang with included hardware, so I decided to order these. Firstly, these are better than others because they are dimmable and have 3 separate brightness levels with a quick push of the button in the back. Only other button is the on/off button which is self-explanatory. I was looking for one to replace the light over the center of the garage on the exterior as well as over the center of the doors of an outside shed I have that's adjacent to the house. This comes with simple user-friendly instructions on how to get them ready for outside which is a few hours in the sun to charge although I skipped this and installed and let them charge where they were installed to save time. The light itself and the panel are very maneuverable and provide a nice range of where I needed them set to produce the light where I wanted as well as where the panel would get the most sun. Installation was very simple and I might have spent about 15 minutes doing that for both lights. When using the stakes it would literally take seconds, but I needed these installed on the house and shed so it too a bit longer. I did use my personal screw gun to make holes after marking them. I did use my own wall plugs and not the included plugs simply because I wanted a bit better quality plug. Although perhaps not necessary, I did put a bit of exterior caulking around the backside of the mounting plate just to be sure bugs, and rain could not creep into that area. Once the holes were large enough and the plugs lightly hammered in, I simply used the screw gun (in some cases a hand screwdriver due to the light or mount housing being in the way to avoid damage) and screwed in the included screws. They went in nice and tight. I was able to slightly adjust once everything was secure and watched for a few days as these were able to provide ample light and stay lit during most of the night coming on automatically! While mostly made of hard plastic and some wires from panel to the light, these are a good enough quality for my applications, and they seem to be working very well giving the driveway at these locations much more light without costing me anything. Very good product and easy to install! I would recommend based on the price and what I received. They also through in some extra hardware as well. Read more
These lights are attractive and easy to install, but I have to set them back up every time I go outside because the ground stakes are too short. They have adjustable light levels and big panels that collect enough solar energy that keep them glowing most of the night when set to ‘low.’ Seem to be of reasonable quality—especially for the low price—but only time will reveal their lifespan. I hate the short ground stakes, but would probably buy them again and make my own adaptations. Read more

We have a pathway alongside our fence that is frequently used as a thoroughfare, and at night there just hasn’t been enough light along the path. I didn’t need or want the whole area lit up - just enough light so that we can see where we are going in the dark and not trip on the uneven ground. So these little spotlights were perfect. They are very user friendly with clear, unambiguous buttons for turning them on, and changing the brightness modes. They charge during the day and automatically go on at night. Because I live in the often overcast Pacific Northwest, I didn’t really expect them to stay on all night long since I didn’t think they would get enough charge to last that long. But to my surprise, they were bright and still going in the early morning before sunrise. At the price, I didn’t expect them to hold a charge like that, so this is impressive. I’m going to get a few more sets to go the full length of our pathway now, and am so pleased I gave these a shot. Read more

I have several Bonlion solar lights in my garden, and I love how they come on at night with warm, bright light, without my having to do anything except set them and forget them. I decided to order these Bonlion spotlights to cast some targeted brighter light on some darker areas along the walkway in the sideyard. Have been waiting for the snow to melt to figure out the best placement, where they can still catch enough sun to turn on at night. The plastic stakes go into the ground easily, in my experience, and I like how these spotlights can be adjusted for both the placement of the light and the *large* solar panel. Quality lights that should last forever. Read more

I am very happy with these Bonlion Solar Spot Lights. I have used others that are flimsy and don't last very long. Taking these out of the box, I can feel the weight of them - they are solid and well-made. The large solar panel (each light has its own), pivots so you can maximize the sun charger power from whatever direction you get the best light. It comes with sets of screws to affix to a wall, if you want, and also with stakes to place in the ground. These solar lights are crazy simple to "assemble" and easy to install. First-time use: Make sure you press the On/Off button to turn the lights on the first time you want to charge them. There are two modes/intensity of lighting that can be controlled with the Mode button. While I know there are less expensive solar lights, I feel like the way these are made will allow them to last longer than most. I am using these to illuminate our HOA sign and they are doing the job just great! Note: While I evaluate products for Amazon, I provide only completely honest reviews based on my personal experience or the experience of those close to me, including the good, the bad, and the ugly, when applicable. Nice lights, bright for being solar powered. The lights arrived packaged well. The solar panel is adjustable and there are two buttons on the back or the lights (one controls mode and the other is the "off/on" button). I placed them outside on a picnic table for a few days to let them charge in the sun. Next, I set them to auto mode and they turned "on" right as the sun set. The battery seems to last at least 4 to 6 hours. The stakes at the bottom are made from plastic, but they are durable enough to sink into firm soil. Read more
