I needed a second soldering iron for a project, and already have a solid Weller station. So I grabbed this one. It has an assortment of tips, a tub of flux, and a roll of solder. It has a little stand that is okay too. The iron has an on/off switch, a temp dial, and a led to show that it is powered up. It worked really well. Job is done. Mission accomplished. Heat up really fast, does a good job ( I use it to make extra holes in my nursery pots for my plants) Not the best design when it comes to the rest stand, it’s super simple. it works but im always worry it may get tipped over since the rod gets very hot (300+) I always have to make sure I clean the whole desk after im done. If the rest stand feels a bit more secure I would feel better and might use it more for other things. For the price it’s good value so can’t really complain.
