UPDATE: Despite my issues with the jewelry, the seller contacted me after my review was posted and issued a refund. Great customer service is worth noting and I certainly appreciate that they did that. Original review: I had my nose pierced with a stud and 5 weeks later, replaced it with this ring. Within a week, a bump next to my piercing formed. At first it was small and then it grew, and grew. I cleaned it, soaked it in salt water, all the things they tell you to do. I looked like a witch with a wart on my nose...for 6 weeks! Finally I went to a different piercer (I’d seen a dermatologist and my original piercer). He right away said my nose was infected. He asked about the jewelry and where I got it. He told me it was poor quality and was causing the irritation and infection. Then he cleaned it up and replaced it with a surgical steel hoop. It’s been less than 48 hours and my bump is almost gone! While this jewelry is cute and I loved how it looked, it clearly was not working for me. It’s possible that once it was totally healed I could then put it back in but, given the circumstances, I trashed it and will opt to buy a solid gold hoop from a jeweler. It’s the only actual gold one I could find that was a thinner gauge. I am glad with the thickness because attempted to buy others and they would not fit in my nose piercing or their diameter as too big. Size wise this one is great. I can’t say that it brought the 18k engraved but I think it’s not possible due to how thin it is. The bag had it written. Only thing I complain about is how difficult it was to attempt to adjust it by “closing the circle” it was very hard and the shape that it needed up adopting is more like an oval, I could not bring it back to a circumference. The first two days it caused me have some pus but then it got fine, idk if it was a product of too much manipulation trying to fix the shape .. I think it’s gold but I can’t say with certainty maybe one day I’ll bring it to be checked. Read more
